INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (Australia). —A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Three Men (names unknown), charging them that at Paddington on the 14th October, 1931, being armed, they assaulted Sidney Punch, and robbed him of £3OO. Descriptions—(l) Age about thirty-three, height about 5 ft. 9 in., strong build, dark complexion ; wearing fawn overcoat, black and white muffler, -coloured felt hat, and dark glasses : (2) age about forty-three, height about 5 ft. 7 in., stout build, medium complexion ; dressed in a brown suit and brown felt hat : and (3) age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build, sallow complexion, brown hair, brown eyes ; dressed in a dark-grey suit, light-coloured felt hat, and black patent-leather shoes. The third man is said to be known as Billy Dean, and he waited in a motor-car whilst the other men followed complainant into his garage, where they menaced him with revolvers, and robbed him of £3OO. If accused are located an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P.31/1427.)
