PROPERTY STOLEN.

Mangonui. —29th August last, from a room in the Mangonui Hotel, the property of JOYCEIPHINE GREENFIELD, a ladies’ gold wristlet-watch, 15-jewelled, with black leather wrist-strap attached ; and 6s. 6d. in money : total value, £7 16s. Identification doubtful.

Mount Albert. —Between March and August last, from the Mount Albert Grammar School, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), a Vickers rifle, No. 2109 ; value, £3 7s. 6d. Identifiable.

Auckland. l2th ultimo, from a room in the Ponsonby Club Hotel, the property of OSBORNE VICTOR GARLAND, licensee, a gentlemen’s light-grey worsted suit, branded “ Vereys Ltd., Sydney ”on inside of coat; a pair of gentlemen’s tan shoes, size 8, with a Sydney firm’s name on inside ; and a Gillette safety razor : total value, £lO 4s. Portion identifiable. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about twenty-four. He may be wearing the stolen shoes and suit.

Auckland. —Between the 12th and 14th ultimo, the premises of BRITON McKENDRICK, Nelson Street, were broken into and the following stolen : A gentlemen’s 18 ct. gold English lever open-face watch, “ G.J.” on inside of case ; a 9 ct. gold watch-chain, fetter and oval pattern, with a £2piece attached ; a gold-coloured clock, about 5 in. square ; a Speedo fountain-pen ; an Onoto fountain-pen; and a nickel pencil: total value, £42ABs. 6d. Waihi. —On the 12th instant, the dwelling of THOMAS HENRY DELAMORE, Consols Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A gentlemen’s 15 ct. gold plain-band ring ; and about 16s. in money : total value, £1 16s. Not identifiable.

Waihi. —12th instant, from the office of HORACE WRIGLEY, Seddon Street, a crossed cheque for £1 17s. 6d. on the Bank of New Zealand, Hamilton North, No. 219646, in favour of W. Parsons, and signed A. Warn ; and about £l6in money. Cheque only identifiable. /j^cffrwucO ///"/£/■

Hamilton. Between the 2nd and 3rd instant, a shed in Victoria Street, the property of HARRY DYMOCK and others, was broken into and the following stolen : Several kits of carpenters’ tools, comprising saws, hammers, planes, chisels, &c. Some of the tools are branded “P. McOnie ” ; total value, £SO. y// / V

Putaruru. —Between the 18th and 24th ultimo, from the carpenters’ shop, Arapuni, the property of GEORGE EATON and others, a canvas bit-roll with “ G.E.” on it; a number of bits with an “ x ” and two dots filed i<pn base ; a saw with “G. Laurie ” stamped on handle ; a green canvas bit-roll with “ C.R.F.” on it; a number of bits with “C.R. E. Fleming ” and four nitches in them ; the ' bit-roll had a Mount Albert Borough dog-collar round it: total value, about £4. Identifiable.

Putaruru. — the 26th and 28th ultimo, from the fitters’ shop at Arapuni, the property of DOUGLAS BLAIR and others, a wood chisel with “B ” branded on it; a shifting spanner with “J. Toswell ”on it; two spanners with “A ” branded on them ; a spanner with “ L. 8.” branded on it a spanner with “S ” branded on it; &c. : total value, £5. Portion identifiable.

Cambridge. —l4th instant, the property of LILLIE ZANA HARPER, clerk, Post-office, Auckland, a six-chambered •44 calibre Webley Service revolver, No. 281834, with certificate of registration, No. 33511. The revolver was registered at Cambridge in 1921, and cannot now be found for inspection, and also for endorsement of change of address on the certificate of registration.

Rotorua. Between 1927 and September last, the property of TAMIHANA PAURO, Whakarewarewa, a five-chambered Harrington and Richardson, U.S.A. revolver, No. G. 44.613 ; value, £1 10s. Identifiable. j ‘l/haf'

Te Araroa. —lßth September last, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Police Department), a •32 calibre Browning automatic pistol, No. 382030 ; value, £5. Identifiable. Constable Mullan lost the pistol on the beach between Te Araroa and Horoera.

Taumarunui.— Between the 21st and 22nd August last, from a safe in the Taringamotu Post-office, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Post and Telegraph Department), £26 16s. 2d. in money; also £2 10s. in money, the property of EMILY JANE OLLINGHAM, Postmistress. Not identifiable.

Wanganui. About the Ist July last, from the dwelling of I. Symes, St. John’s Hill, the property of FRANK LAIRD, a -22 calibre Winchester repeating rifle, No. 674287 ; value, £2. Identifiable.

Wellington. the 25th and 26th ultimo, a bus service -station, the property of STUART ARCHIBALD CRICHTON, Main Road, Johnsonville, was broken into and the following stolen : Two postal notes for £1 and 2s. 6d. ; a crossed cheque for 12s. on the National Bank of New Zealand, Courtenay Place, Wellington, No. G. 28153, dated 20/9/31, in favour of Crichton’s Service Station or order, and signed Leo. T. Dwan ; a T. and G. Insurance policy, No. 546859, in complainant’s name ; Queensland Insurance policies on buses, Nos. 25/11078 to 25/11083, and buildings, Nos. 33154 to 33157 ; a dark-red steel office safe, size about 24 in. by 18 in. by 18 in.; about Us. in money ; and sundry papers : to tab , value, £ls. Wellington. 3lst July last, from a toilet-room in the D.1.C., the property of JOYCE CHISHOLM, 35 Moana Road, a ladies’ octagonal-shaped silver wristlet-watch, No. 127476 ; value, 10s. Identifiable.

Tiroroa.— 6th August last, from the roadside in Buller Gorge, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Public Works Department), a canvas tent and fly, with blue and red lines, size 8 ft. by 10 ft., branded “ P.W.D. over T” ; value, £2 ss. Identifiable.
