Auckland. On the Ist July last, from a room in the Y.W.C.A., Upper Queen Street, the property of TUI RICHARDSON, a ladies’ gold Swiss wristlet-watch, octagon shape, No. 78906 ; value, £4 15s. Identifiable.

Auckland. —29th July last, from a motor-car in Fort Street, the property of THOMAS CLARK, Queen’s Arcade, a gentlemen’s brown and grey overcheck tweed golf suit, plus fours ; two pairs of gentlemen’s golf stockings ; and a gentlemen’s grey and brown woollen pull-over, two pockets, V neck : total value, £9 14s. Identifiable.

Auckland.3oth July last, from a motor-car in Kitchener Street, the property of EDWARD JOHN McQUILLAN, No. 13 Third Avenue, Kingsland, a gentlemen’s single-breasted heavy grey tweed overcoat, belt on back, “ Milne and Choyce ” brand on inside of collar ; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 13th ultimo the warehouse of S. L. P. RIMMER AND CO., 95 Nelson Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A crossed cheque for £4 os. Bd. on the National Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, No. 188806, drawn in favour of S. L. P. Rimmer, and signed J. E. Green ; a crossed cheque for £lO Is. 4d. on the National Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, No. 410770, drawn in favour of S. L. P, Rimmer, and signed Robert Carr ; and £7 os. 10-|d. in money. Cheques only identifiable.

Thames. Between the 15th and 22nd June last, the property of AMY TAYLOR, Kopu, a 1925 model Ford motorcar, engine No. C 22378 0; value, £5. Identifiable. The engine was stolen from the chassis in the yard of L. Mitchell, carrier.

Gisborne.On the 14th June last the dwelling of WILLIAM CLARENCE WATTS, Roebuck Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A -22 calibre Young American double-action rim-fire revolver, No. 263712, made by Harrison and Richardson Arms Co., Worcester, Mass., U.S.A. ; value £l. Identifiable.

Fitzroy.— On the 10th ultimo, from the dwelling of ANNIE LUCRETIA PARKER, 708 Devon Street, New Plymouth, a small dark-brown lunch - case ; a small black leather purse ; a gold ring set with a cluster of diamonds, with lavender-coloured stone in centre, similar to illustration No. 81 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 6 ; a gold ring set with live diamonds in claw-setting, similar to illustration No. 75 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 6 ; a gold ring set with three diamonds, cracked at bottom, similar to illustration No. 80 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 6 ; a gold ring set with three or four diamonds in claw-setting, similar to illustration No. 75 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 6; £1 Bs. 4d. in money ; and sundry papers : total value, £4B 10s. lOd. Stratford. 2Bth June last, the property of LAURENCE AUSTIN ENNIS, a -22 calibre Winchester repeating-rifle, No. 627685, 1906 model; value, £3 10s. Identifiable. The rifle was lost from a motor-car between Taupo and Raetihi.

Wellington. —2lst July last, from the shop of SCHNEIDEMAN AND SONS, LTD., Willis Street, a gentleman’s doublebreasted reddish-brown tweed overcoat, branded “ Schneideman and Sons, Ltd.” on inside pocket and neckband, “No. 1803” on inside of pocket; size 3 or 4 ; value, £5 17s. 6d. Identifiable.

Christchurch. Between the 29th and 30th July last, from a case in the Canterbury Museum, the property of the TRUSTEES, CANTERBURY MUSEUM, a five-chambered muzzle-loading self-cocking percussion revolver, Tipping and Lawden make, “XI ” marked on stock ; a -chambered straight-action Colt revolver, scenes engraved on barrel, “ XII ” on stock ; and a four-barrel breech-loading rim-fire target pistol, revolving percussion-cap, brass barrels, wooden stock, “ XVIII ”on it: total value, £B. Identifiable.

Christchurch. 3rd July last, the property of HILDA EMILY FORD, 288 Madras Street, a white double blanket with blue border, a single blanket with blue border, and a brown check rug; total value, £3 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Thomas Willail, alias Jackson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1928, page 60, and Photographs, 1925, page 48. The suspect rented a room from complainant, and after he vacated it the blankets were missed. / / , -O&U/jAyc/ 7//0/5/ Christchurch. —On the sth and 20th ultimo the premises of GUTHRIE BOWRON AND CO., LTD., 143 Worcester Street, were broken into and the following stolen : Six Air-O-Spray painting outfits; two gentlemen’s double-breasted leather overcoats; a ladies’ green leather coat with blue binding ; a ladies’ brown leather coat with green binding ; a number of paint brushes, Hamilton, Albatross, and Lark brands ; ten sets of signwriter’s brushes, Devonshire brand; a fibre suit-case, size 20 in. by 12. in ; a leather suit-case, size 20 in. by 12 in. ; and six painter’s hacking knives : tota value, £9O 16s. Identifiable. Some of the paint brushes have been recovered, and Cyril Turnbull Gribbin charged with offence. On the 20th ultimo the premises were found to

On the night of the 16th ultimo the premises of SAMUEL GEORGE MCCLELLAND, 218 Stafford Street, were broken into and the following stolen : Two gentlemen’s overcoats, sizes 4 and 5, branded “ Cambridge ” ; a gentlemen’s navy-blue trench overcoat, size 4, branded “Smarton” ; two gentlemen’s dark-grey worsted suits, size 4, branded “ McClelland’s Regal clothing ” ; a gentlemen’s dark-grey and brown worsted suit, size 5, branded McClelland’s Regal clothing ” ; and four gentlemen’s wire twist shirts : total value, £3l. Identifiable.. Suspicion is attached to Two Men (names unknown)(l) age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, dark complexion and hair : (2) age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair.
