Whangarei. lßth instant, that proceedings may be instituted against him for failing to notify his change of abode (Arms Act), Arthur Brittain, fruit-farmer.

Auckland. — January last, on warrant for theft from the dwelling of Ruby Jones, 42 Western Springs Road, of a child’s 9 ct. gold wristlet watch with dent in case, a ladies’ gold bangle with solid back tapering to two bars at each end (set with small rubies and diamonds), a gold Eversharp pencil with “From Herb to Laurie” on it, and other articles, which have been recovered at a second-hand shop, total value £l2, Michael Burke (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-eight, height 6ft., mechanic, native of Ireland, slight build, dark complexion ; dressed in a dark suit. A gentlemen’s overcoat, also stolen from the same dwelling, was sold to a pawnbroker at Hamilton by a man who gave the name Michael James Barks, and who is referred to in Police Gazette, 1931, pages 93 and 196, and may be ide/iticstl with accused. *&/UU4 kjc{ ft// US/.

Auckland. —30th ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, of whom V. R. Misson, Hamilton, Road, Cambridge, is the mother, Allan Sydney Adams, age twenty, height 5 ft. 6 in., piano -timer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes. Auckland. 29th ultimo, on warrant of ' commitment to Auckland Prison for six months in default of paying £23 ss. arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his child, Thomas Blaikie, age about thirty-five, height 6 ft., labourer and seaman, strong build, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, large nose, full face ; usually well erect quick gait, well spoken. King (name probably fictitious), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., strong build, fresh complexion, brown eyes ; well dressed in a dark suit, plum-coloured overcoat, and brown hat. Accused obtained £lO 3s. cash from the Farmers’ Union Trading Co. by means of a valueless cheque for £ls, which he tendered in payment of a Planet Junior., machine, value £4 15s. Te Aroha. —24th ultimo, that a summons for being in possession of a Bayard automatic pistol may be served upon him, Harry Albert Samuelson, age about twenty-seven, height about 5 ft. 8 in., native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, grey eyes; scar on left jaw ; wears a white sweater and black felt hat. He may possess a B.S.A. motor-cycle, registration No. 7 - 83-Y j

Hamilton. 27th ultimo, on warrant for theft of £2, the property of George John Baker, brick-manufacturer, Robert Rosceimer, age about twenty-three, height about 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, slight build, sallow complexion, fair straight hair, small eyes, thin face ; dressed in a brown-tweed suit. Complainant gave accused two cheques and £2 in money to pay into the Bank of New Zealand at Hamilton. He banked the cheques but kept the money. It is thought that he is identical with Malcolm ROSS Kell, alias Ross Kell, alias Malcolm ROSS, referred to in Police,. Gazettp, 1931, page 311.

Putaruru. —22nd instant, that a summons for failing to maintain his wife may be served upon him, Thomas Ralph Burnside Robson, alias McKenzie, alias Miller, alias Stewart, age fifty, height 5 ft. 7 in., farmer and labourer, native of Australia, strong build, ruddy complexion, auburn hair turning grey, blue eyes ; limps slightly; scar on right shoulder ; dry rash on left side of neck ; ’ stutters. Rotorua. —16th February last, for indecent assault on Eva Rose Goulter, schoolgirl, Edward Frederick Haise, referred to in Police Gazette, 1930, page 559, and Photographs, page 56. When Eva Rose Goulter (age eight) and her companion were going home from school they were given a ride in a motor-car by a man, thought to be the above-named, who indecently assaulted complainant. He may be in possession of a five-seater Ford Tourer motor - car, registration No. 48: 328. If located he is to be interviewed regarding the offence. b tdj A j

Taumarunui. 3oth January last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for two months in default of paying £46 10s. arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his son, John Kennedy Thomsen, alias Kenneth Thomson, age forty-two, height 5 ft. sJin., bushman and labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; two scars on left thumb ; fond of drink. Napier. —2oth • / Warrarn ror breaking and entering Napier. —2oth urtimoton warrant for breaking and entering the shop of Henry Williams and Sons, hardware merchants, and stealing gelignite and detonators, value £lB 7s. (all recovered except four hundred detonators), Leslie Scott, age twenty-five, height about 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, sallow complexion, brown hair and eyes ; several upper front teeth missing ; receding lower jaw; dressed in a grey tweed suit and fawn felt hat. Accused (with three others) was arrested for the offence, but escaped whilst being brought to the Police Station. He may be identical with Frederick Thompson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1930, page 492, and he may be in possession of a short magazine Lee-Enfield service-rifle, with a number between 261 and 280 on butt, the prope/tv of Sergeant-Major Fisher. /j, \/ .

Hastings. March last, on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Prison for three months in default of paying £289 arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his wife and child, Frank Chapman, alias Francis Walter Chapman, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 10 in., freezing hand, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes. Pahiattja. 2oth September, 1930, that he may be interviewed regarding his having obtained from Arthur Vaughan 17s. 6d. for one year’s subscription to the “ Wanderlust Magazine,” Gerald A. Peake, age about fifty, height about 5 ft. 11 in., canvasser, thin build, sallow complexion, dark hair turning grey; wears glasses. The “ Wanderlust Magazine ” Co. have now ceased publishing the magazine, and refuse to accept any responsibility respecting complainant’s subscription, as they say Peake had no authority after July, 1930, to collect money on behalf of the company.

Petone. 24th ultimo, for attempted carnal knowledge of Hazel Jean Ford (age eight), Man (name unknown), age about twenty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fresh complexion, red hair, long face ; dressed in a grey suit with blue and white stripes (no hat), and wears pince-nez glasses, with chain to ear. He was in possession of a bicycle. No warrant.

Petone. 22nd instant, on warrant of commitment to .Wellington Prison for one month in default of paying £l3 15s. fine and costs for being intoxicated in charge of a motorcar, John Cave!!, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 7-| in., motor salesman, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes ; scar on left forearm ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and soft fely hat. Wellington. On or about the 24th ultimo, on warrant for forgery, Duncan Corby, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair, pug nose, prominent teeth. Accused forged the endorsement “ Duncan Corby ” to a cheque for £5 10s. on the Commercial Bank of Australia, Nelson, signed E. J. White, and uttered it to George William Willey, 37 Upland Road, Kelburn. He may be identical with Leslie Bain Wallace, who was .formerly a derk in the Gtamftneroial Bank, Nelson.

Wellington. l3th instant, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for three days in default of paying £3 Bs. fine and costs for failing to stop a motor-vehicle when requested by a traffic officer, Yer Kivovitch, age about forty, height 5 ft. 8 in., company manager, native of Russia, medium build, dark complexion, hair, eyes, and moustache ; scar on left leg. He left for England on the 6th ultimo, but is expected to return to this Dominion about September next.

Wellington. —l6th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his three illegitimate children, Leonard Ruxton Armstrong, alias Wolferston, age fifty-two, height 5 ft. 6 in., clerk, native of New Zealand, slight build, sallow complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, blind in left eye ; wears glasses.
