INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.

Sydney (Australia).— The following described jewellery, together with £IOO in notes, was stolen from James Henry Wood’s motor-car at Bondi Beach on the 29th March, 1931 : A ladies’ platinum rectangular-shaped Rolex wristlet watch, silver dial, black hands, diamonds set all around dial, flexible platinum wristlet set with diamonds, safety - clip thereon, about one hundred diamonds in watch and wristlet; a threestone diamond ring, centre stone much larger than other two, the three diamonds are white and perfect, weight of the three stones approximately 2| ct., nine small diamonds set on each side of the three large stones, ring is all platinum, the three large stones are in coronet setting and the small stones in beaded setting ; a ladies’ platinum large single-stone diamond ring, weight of stone approximately let., set with a small emerald and onyx on two sides, on the other two sides four small diamonds are set and two small diamonds tapering from the emeralds; a large single-stone diamond gold ring, weight of diamond approximately ct., platinum coronet setting, the diamond is white and perfect; a carved platinum wedding-ring set with diamonds all around, about twentythree to twenty-five in all; a single-stone diamond pin, weight of diamond approximately let., platinum coronet setting with red-gold pin, torpedo attached, the diamond has a small blemish; and a platinum and white -gold bow brooch set with a considerable number of small diamonds : total value, about £4OO.
