Frankton Junction. —l6th instant, on warrant for false pretences, W. H. Clark, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 7 in., carpenter, native of New Zealand, medium build, tanned freckled complexion, curly brown hair, blue eyes. Accused obtained a cheque for £lO, an I O U for £3, and £3 18s. 2d. cash from Lillian Esther Clark, confectioner, Commerce Street, by means of a valueless cheque for £l6 18s. Bd. The photograph of William Robert Curson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1930, page 608, and Photographs, 1922, page 41, has been identified as that of the offender. -\ . / / .

Henry Mills, age about forty-three, height 5 ft. 8 in., butcher and labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion and hair, brown eyes, thin features; usually dressed in a dark suit and dark fe)t hat.

Woodville. The warrant charging Arnold Vaughan Sutton with forging the name of Arthur Stevens to a cheque for £2 10s. (see Police Gazette, 1930, page 876) has been cancelled, and a fresh warrant has issued charging him with obtaining £2 10s. from William Ernest Beale by means of a valueless cheque for that amount. / / /

Wellington. —l6th instant, that he may be located and the necessary stepsC taken to confirm a maintenance order which was made against him in England, Alfred Donald Cleveiy, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 94 in., plumber and ex.constable, native of England, blue eyes, good teeth, scar on left side of chest and near left shoulder, “ A.C.” on left wrist. On the 21st December, 1928, at Wellington, lie bigamously married Peggy Salmond, and if he is located the Superintendent of Police, Wellington, is to be notified.

Lyttelton. —26th November last, on warrant of commitment to Paparua Prison for six months in default of paying £BB arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, William McMorran, alias Traynor McManus, age fortytwo, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and fireman, native of Scotland, medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and light-grey cap ; slightly stooped ; fond of drink. Christchurch.— l3th November last, on warrant for theft of a book of art-union tickets (recovered), value £1 25., the property of St. Michael’s Church Choir, Charles Hamilton Romer, age forty-three, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, florid complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, scar on left shin and on pelvis. Accused, who was employed to sell twelve books of art-union tickets, pledged one book, for which he received goods value 2s. 9d. Christchurch. On or about the 12th September last, for theft of a blow-lamp, a ratchet-brace, and three pairs of pliers, &c. (recovered), value £2 11s. 9d., the property of Robert Charles Donald McKenzie, Robert Fulton, age twentythree, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, close set eyes; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit with double-breasted waistcoat. When Fulton is located a communication is to be sent to the Superintendent of Police, Christchurch, who will forward the file. Mo warrant.
