By-law under the Government Railways Act, 1926. (See New Zealand Gazette, 1930, page 3874.) In exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by the Government Railways Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the by-law appearing in the Schedule hereto.

Schedule. 27a. No person, unless duly authorized or licensed thereto by the General Manager or other railway officer appointed in that behalf by the General Manager, shall go into or upon any carriage, vehicle, or premises of the railway for the purpose of touting or soliciting custom or employment of any description ; and no person while in or upon any carriage, vehicle, or premises of the railway shall, unless duly authorized as aforesaid, tout or solicit custom or employment of any description. Any person who commits a breach of this by-law shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding ten pounds (£10). Given under my hand this 9th day of December, 1930. W. A. Veitch, Minister of Railways.
