Suspicion is attached to Jack Walsh, age forty-five, height about 5 ft. 9 in., sawmill hand, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes ; dressed in a navy-blue suit, grey felt hat ; smart appearance. The suspect borrowed the overcoat from complainant, and may have sold it. He also obtained money from William McDonald by falsely representing that he was manager of Hodgson’s Sawmill at Murchison, and he is to lx* interviewed regarding these matters.

Christchurch.
