Circular No. 19/29.] Police Supervision of Patients in Hospital. In future this Department will not provide gratuitously the services of members of the Force to guard patients in hospital who require attention in order to protect them against themselves or to provide against their quitting the institution, unless such patients have been charged or are to be charged by the Police with an offence against the law and have been taken to hospital pending the hearing of such charge.
