PERSONS WANTED.

Auckland. White (name probably fictitious), age about twenty, height 5 ft. 7 in., native of New Zealand, strong build, brown complexion, wavy dark hair. Accused, by false pretences on various dates, obtained from Moore’s Gramophones, Ltd., 166 Queen Street, thirty gramophone records, value £B, eight of which he obtained by falsely representing that Les Howard, Waitoa, had requested him to call for the records. No warrant.

Auckland. —18th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Lorna Hazel Pascoe, 4 Cameron Street, Herne Bay, and two children, Patrick George Pascoe, age thirtythree, height about 5 ft. 8 in., tailor, native of Australia, strong build, dark complexion, black hair, grey eyes, flat nose ; well dressed ; frequents hotels and racecourses. Auckland. 3oth ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his child, Ruby Patricia Wilson, 55 Collingwood Street, Ponsonby, Archibald Wilson, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, ruddy complexion, black hair turning grey, blue eyes, scar over left eye. Auckland. 26th September last, for theft of a gramophone (recovered), value £7, the property of Mate Posa, labourer, 126 Hobson Street, Jack Stevens (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-three, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, thin build, dark complexion and hair; wearing navy-blue trench coat and tan shoes (no hat). The gramophone was stolen from complainant’s boardinghouse and sold to a pawnbroker for £l. No warrant.

Auckland. —On or about the 29th April last, on warrant for quitting New Zealand within twelve months before presentation of a bankruptcy petition and taking with him property amounting to £2O or upwards that ought by law to have been divided among his creditors, Frank J. McDivitt, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., ex garage-proprietor, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes, one front tooth shorter than the others, round face. Eeilding. 22nd August last, on warrant for false pretences, William S. Johnson, age about twenty-six, height 5 ft'. 7 in., labourer, medium build, ruddy complexion, light-brown hair ; dressed in a light-grey suit. Accused obtained a navyblue Lynx suit with double-breasted coat (size 5), value £B, from John Cobbe and Co., drapers, Manchester Street, by falsely representing that he was in the employ of a man named Simpson, whom he said was sending him a cheque.

Palmerston North. —7th ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, May Cassandra Berentson, John Berentson, age thirty, height 6 ft. 2-1, in., salesman, native of Norway, medium build, sallow complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, scar on centre of forehead and on right forearm ; plausible manner ; slightly foreign accent. Wellington. 26th ultimo, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probationary license, Charles Octavian Orlando Giorgi, alias Charles Maurice Collins, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of Australia, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, thick nose, scar on right forearm, two scars on right forefinger. His license has been cancelled, and his return to the nearest prison is desired. No action is to be taken after the 30th January, 1930. Miller, age twenty-two, height about 6 ft., labourer, native of New Zealand, good build, fresh complexion, brown hair, dark-brown eyes ; woman’s bust on right forearm ; some teeth stopped with gold. Wellington. —24th ultimo, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probationary license, Harry Cooper, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 1 in., labourer, native of England, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, scar on abdomen. His license has been cancelled, and his return to the nearest Borstal Institution is desired. The period of his probation expires on the 12th December, 1929, after which date he is not to be arrested, but should he be located after that date and before December, 1930, he is to be warned to report to the nearest probation officer. Nelson. 2sth ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, Ernest Allison Roddis, age about forty-five, height about 5 ft. 6 in., chimney-sweep, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair ; may be dressed in a dark-grey suit with “ H. 8.” on neck of coat, blue striped shirt, and light-coloured overcoat. Christchurch. maintain his wife, Frances Stella Taylor, 1 Malcolm Avenue, Frederick Arnold Taylor, age forty, height 6 ft., motor salesman, native of England, medium build, sallow complexion, hair turning grey, brown eyes snake and circle, &c., on arms ; dressed in a bluish-grey tweed suit, dark-grey overcoat, and brown shoos. Dunedin. —18th ultimo, for failing to comply with the conditions of his release upon probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), William Arthur Scott, age twenty height 5 ft. 8 in., salesman, native of Scotland, slight build, pale complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar on left knee, on right palm, and on left forefinger; dressed in a light tweed suit with double-breasted coat, and grey felt hat; good appearance and address; erect gait.
