Missing Child.
Gisborne. — above is a photograph of Harry Boyd Foote, who disappeared from the show-grounds on the 23rd ultimo and for whom an intensive search in the surrounding country has been fruitless. Description : Age five years and nine months, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark hair, dark-brown eyes with freckles around them ; dressed in lightgrey check trousers with braces of same material, tan sandals, light-coloured striped shirt, and dark-green Cub Scouts’ cap with yellow braid from crown to brim ; speaks quickly, and lisps. Performing at the show was a Chinese troupe —Sun Kwang Wahsome of the members of which may have taken the child away, or he may have been taken by Maoris or by some showmen. He was very fond of motor-cars, and would accept an invitation to have a ride in a car proffered by any one. Every effort is to be made to locate the child. (See Police Gazette, 1929, page 722/)" /
