Auckland. l7th instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for two months in default of paying £1 55., balance of fine and costs for being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car, George Robert Hatch, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 7 in., storekeeper, native of England, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes. Auckland. —17th instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for six months in default of paying £272 arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Henry George Parsons, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 6 in., seaman and labourer, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; flowers, scroll, and “ Ida ” on right forearm. Auckland. —4th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Ada Harwood, 155 Nelson Street, Roy Francis Harwood, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 11 in., pointer, native of America, strong build, fresh complexion, dark-brown long hair, brown eyes, pimples on face, scars on left arm and on back of head, scar on right foot; dressed in a grey suit (semiOxford bags) with double-breasted coat; frequents billiardsaloons. Auckland. — George Alexander Mason, forgery and uttering : It has been ascertained by the Hamilton police that he is not now using his firm’s motor-car. The car has been located in a motor-garage at Hamilton, where it was left by accused on the Bth instant. (See Police Gazette, 1929, page 707 isr/i/^o

New Plymouth. Thomas Duncan, theft: It has been ascertained by the New Plymouth police that he has assumed the name Hamilton and that he is not identical with Thomas Steele Duncan, alias Thomas Stewart Duncan, referred to in Photographs, 1921, page 111. (See Police Gazette, 1929, page 612.)

Wellington. 22nd instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Eveline Isobel Stanlake, 73a Kelburn Parade, Percy Exmouth Stanlake, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 6 in., motor-car painter, native of New Zealand, slight build, pale complexion, black hair turning grey, blue eyes, two scars on left upper arm, scar on right thigh ; stutters; dressed in a plum-coloured suit and grey felt hat; fond of drink. Westport. 3rd instant, on two warrants of commitment to Greymouth Prison for two months and seven days in default of paying £lO 15s. and 15s. fine and costs for unlawfully using a motor-car and theft, Donald Ramsay, age twentytwo, height 5 ft. 64 in., painter, native of New Zealand, slight build, pale . complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, slight scar on right forearm ; quick swinging gait, and leans forward. He left this Dominion on the Ist instant by the s.s. “ Arlington Court.” (See Police Gazette, 1929, page 700.)

Christchurch. 7th instant, on warrant of commitment to Paparua Prison for six months in default of paying £7O 11s. 6d. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his two children, Arthur IVlcKeever, alias Anderson, age -seven, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, ruddy complexion, auburn hair going bald, blue eyes, scar on back, on chin, and on left thigh. Dunedin. 4th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Mary Ann Scanlon, Christopher Scan San, age about thirty-four, height 5 ft. 2 in., seaman, native of England, slight build, dark complexion and hair, grey eyes, scar over left eye, “ E.R.” on left forearm ; usually dressed in a blue suit and grey cap.
