PROPERTY STOLEN.

Whangarei. 27th May -last, the property of JAMES KLIN AC, Waipapa, a gentlemen’s Farmer’s bicycle, six copper rivets in back of saddle, rat-trap pedals; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. —27th ultimo, from the shop of WILLIAM MacMILLAN, 115 Hobson Street, a cash-box (recovered) and £62 ss. in money (including thirty-seven sovereigns). Not identifiable.

Auckland. —11th or 12th ultimo, from the dwelling of ANDREW THOMAS ARKLE, 46 Sumner Street, Ponsonby, a silver hunting-watch, No. 74-777 or 78-774, key- wind, “A. T. Arkle ” engraved inside case ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. JEFFERY WARREN, 1 Wairiki Road, a reddish-brown box about 9 in. by 5 in., blue-lined, containing two compasses, a pair of dividers, a pair of pens, and a spring bow compass, all with “ 111 ” scratched thereon ; total value, £3. Identifiable.

Auckland. 6th instant, the property of HERBERT ROBERT ARTHUR, 31 Curran Street, a five-seater Morris Oxford touring motor - car, registration No. 12-038, engine No. 133417, chassis No. 113997, painted dark maroon, black hood, red leather upholstering, artillery wheels ; value, £l9O. Auckland. —On the 2nd instant the dwelling of GEORGE HAROLD KISSLING, 14 Glanville Terrace, was broken into and the following stolen : Six large and six small Apis stainless knives; eight tablespoons, six table - forks, and six dessert-spoons, all E.P.N.S. ; a gold pin with Viking on flag, flag-staff broken; a gold Turk’s head tiepin with gold knot above head ; a circular gold-band medal with Maltese Cross in centre, “ G. H. Kissling, Sculling Championship, Judge’s Bay Regatta, 1889,” on back; a Durham-Duplex razor in case; and a white metal neck - chain with crystal drop attached : total value, £l2 19s. Identifiable.

Auckland. Between the sth and 9th March last, the property of BRENDA NINA MONYPENNY, 86 Calgarry Street, a ladies’ free-wheel Robinhood bicycle, black-enamelled with faint gold lines, celluloid chain-guard ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 28th ultimo the dwelling of MARCELLA LAURIE, 54 Gillies Avenue, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ gold ring set with four pearls, centre stone missing ; a ladies’ gold ring with diamonds and rubies in half-hoop setting ; a ladies’ gold Mizpah ring ; a gentlemen’s gold keeper-ring ; a ladies’ gold-edged ring ; a fine gold muff-chain ; a gold chain with pendant -attached, with emeralds and pearls in shape of leaves ; a gold Kookaburra brooch ; a white metal brilliant pendant and necklace ; a gold brooch set with a large brown Scotch pebble, with four pearls round it; a gentlemen’s gold ring (broken) set with a bloodstone a gold scarf-pin set with an amethyst and four

pearls ; and a gold anchor-chain watch-fob with half-sovereign pendant attached : total value, £9B. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Two Men (names unknown) (l) age about twenty-eight, height about 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, dark complexion ; dressed in a blue suit, heavy dark-blue overcoat, and grey felt hat: and (2) age about twenty-eight, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, dark complexion, nose appears to be broken ; wearing grey flannel trousers repaired on right knee, blue overcoat, and grey felt hat.

Huntly. —loth instant, the property of DAVID JOHNSTON McGILL, a Neptune fountain pen with “ John Leslie Buckley ” on rubber tube inside, a metal wrist-watch with one strap - loop missing, a tobacco - pouch, and 3s. 6d. in money; total value, £1 10s. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Kopu or Koutu, age about twentytwo, height about 5 ft. 6 in., Maori, slight build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes ; dressed in a blue serge suit.

Hamilton. —On or about the 3rd April last, from a washhouse at Karamu, the property of JOHN CAMPBELL GROVE, a -22 single-shot rifle, No. 3461, and one hundred •22 cartridges ; value, £1 15s. Rifle identifiable.

Rotorua. ■ — On the 17th or 18th instant the store of WILLIAM HOOKER, Tutanekai Street, was broken into and the following stolen : £5 3s. in money, a dozen Newton Premier table knives, eighteen dessert knives made by Sheffield Steel Products, two dozen dessert forks, a dark-brown leather brief-bag with “ W. Hooker ” on silver plate on outside, a greenstone tiki about 4 in. in length, a piece of greenstone about 4 in. by \ in., and a quantity of cigarettes, chocolates, &c. ; total value, £24 15s. 9d. Brief-bag identifiable.

New Plymouth.- —2nd ultimo, the property of RONALD SIDNEY HANLY, Devon Street, a gentlemen’s blackenamelled free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, upturned handles, rattrap pedals, Michelin tire on front wheel, John Bull tire on back wheel; value, £4. Identifiable.

Palmerston North.— lst or-2nd instant, the property of CHARLES FRANK BOWKLEY, Albert Street, Auckland, a gentlemen’s open-face Record watch, 15 jewels, steel cases, enamel dial; a gold-plated wrist-watch, 10 jewels, enamel dial with luminous figures, leather strap attached; a goldplated wrist-watch, 10 jewels, white metal dial, leather strap attached; a nickel wrist-watch, 15 jewels, plain metal dial, leather strap attached ; a gentlemen’s open-face metal watch, enamel dial; a gentlemen’s open-face silver Maestria watch, 5 jewels ; a silver wrist-watch with watered-silk wristlet; a 9 ct. gold Dreadnought wrist-watch, 15 jewels, watered-silk wristlet; three gentlemen’s open-face lever watches, 5 jewels ; a gentlemen’s Swiss watch with black back ; two gentlemen’s metal watches, one with luminous dial; and a gold-plated wrist-watch, 15 red jewels, watered-silk wristlet attached : total value, £l9. Not identifiable.

Wellington. —On or about the 17th June, 1922, between Wellington and Auckland, the property of HENRY ALEXANDER WILSON, 48 Cromwell Street, Auckland, a -577 Snider rifle, No. 303 ; and a -45 Whitworth rifle, No. 20 : total value, £2. Identifiable.

Wellington. 2nd or 3rd instant, from a shed in Calabar Road, Miramar, the property of JAMES EDWARD MALEY, 1 Caprera Street, a carpenter’s white canvas tool-kit; a green canvas apron with three pockets ; a Disston rip-saw, a tenon saw with brass back, an oilstone in oak case, a long screw-driver with yellow handle, a ratchet-brace, a keyhole saw, and a wooden gauge, all branded “ J. F. Gutheridge ” ; and several saws, wood-chisels, &c.: total value, £24. Branded tools identifiable.

Christchurch. —On the 27th May last the dwelling of JESSIE FRAME, 122 Fitzgerald Street, St. Albans, was broken into and the following stolen : A gold ring with five diamonds in claw setting, “ G.A.F.” and “ J.1L8.” or “ J. 8.” engraved inside ; a fine gold chain with gold heart - shape locket, with “ Pat ” engraved on front; a gold locket, Victoria Cross shape, with fine twisted gold wire chain attached ; and 13s. in money : total value, £l6 10s. Identifiable except money.

Christchurch. —13th ultimo, the property of WILLIAM B AUNT ON, 93 Garlands Road, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Twiss bicycle. No. 5997, 24 in. frame, Twiss transfer, rat-trap pedals, Michelin tires ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Christchurch. WILLIAM BOYLE, 69 Garden Road, Fendalton, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled Gamage bicycle, No. 49910, 24 in. frame, rubber pedals, Dunlop tires ; value, £7. Identifiable.
