ABSCONDER FROM A STATE INSTITUTION.
Hamilton.- 25th August last, from the licensed service of J. Newman, farmer, Purua, John Samuel Hodge, age sixteen, height about 5 ft. 6 in., farm hand, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion, curly black hair ; usually dressed in a grey suit with long trousers, felt hat, and dark overcoat ; pleasant manner ; smart appearance. He is to be returned to the Hamilton Receiving Home.
