Suspicion is attached to Frank Williams (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-five, height about .5 ft. 7 in., medium build, sallow complexion; well dressed in a grey suit and grey felt hat. Between the 7th" and 22nd ultimo the dwelling of WILLIAM HAROLD FISHER, 67 Pah Road, Royal Oak, was broken into and the following stolen 'therefrom: An attache-case, a pair of field-glasses, and two shirts (recovered),; a ladies’ cameo, ring, and a string of pearls with 18 : ctr gold fastener: total value, £l4 17s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to George Shaw, age about twenty-five, height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build, dark complexion and hair; dressed in a blue serge suit and light felt hat; quiet speech. The description is that of a man who sold portion of .the property to a second-hand dealer.

Between the 4th and 6th instant the store of ARMSTRONG, WHITWORTH, AND CO., Arapuni, was broken into and the following stolen therefrom : Fifteen Champion motor sparking-plugs ; a sleeveless khaki overcoat with cape, Ross and Glendining” on tag; and £3 12s. in money : total value, £7 10s. 9d. Marton. —llth ultimo, from the Marton Hotel, the property of MIMSIE WARD, Sunbeam Theatrical Company, an 18 ct. gold ring (resembles three rings in one) with nine diamonds in claw setting, a gold ring with three large and ten small diamonds in crossover platinum setting, and a gold ring with three diamonds in crossover setting ; total value, £69. Identifiable.

Rongotea. —Between the 20th and 25th December last, from the dwelling of ESMEE MARY NOLAN, an open-face gold wristlet watch, red twelve, double flat-link bracelet attached, one link bent; a gold ring with a dark-green emerald in claw setting ; a gold ring with topaz in centre of cluster of pearls in claw setting ; and a gold neck-chain, J in. links with knob on end : total value, £25. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Richard Mantan Barker Briggs, alias Jack Barker, age thirty, height 5 ft. 4 in., labourer and hotel porter, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion, dark curly hair, bow-legged, one ankle injured. He has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted.

Palmerston North. — On the 10th or 11th November last WALKERS STORES, LIMITED, Main Street East, was broken into, and tobacco, cigarettes, and groceries, value £l7 2s. lid., stolen therefrom. Not identifiable.

Petone.- or 24th December last, the property of GEORGE AND GEORGE, Jackson Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, upturned handles, no griffs, Michelin tires ; value, £5. Identifiable.
