Takapuna. —On the 15th March last the dwelling of FRANK MACKY, medical practitioner, 1 Dromorne Road, Remuera, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : Three pairs grey double blankets and nine pairs grey single blankets ; value, £lO 19s. Identification doubtful.

Auckland. — 18th ultimo, from the cloak-room of the Waverley Hotel, the property of CHARLES H. C. WORTHINGTON, editor, “ Chronicle,” Rotorua, a gentlemen’s heavy wooden double-breasted Raglan overcoat, branded “ He Luen ” half lined with striped sateen, a pair of dark-tan dog-skin motoring-gloves, and grey muffler ; value, £9 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. -On or about 28th February last, from the s.s. “ Waipiata,” the property of the TAKAPUNA BOATING CLUB, two silk mainsails, branded “ Z 20 Comet,” to fit 12 ft. dinghy ; two spinnakers, branded “ Z 3 Tio ” ; and a coil of |- in. rope : value, £lB. Identifiable.

Auckland. —Between 9th and 11th ultimo, the premises of Messrs. LLOYD AND RICHARDS, boot repairers, 51 High Street, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A pair of gentlemen’s black glace size 7 boots, lined with white kid ; five twenty-mark, three ten-mark, ten five-mark German notes ; and fifty French centum notes : value, £9 2s. Boots identifiable.

Auckland. —On 18th ultimo, from the person of HOWARD HENRY LYES, journalist, Normanby Road, Paeroa, £4, a gentlemen’s “ Big Ben ” metal watch, a rolled-gold doublecable watch-chain, and a second-class railway-ticket (Auckland—Paeroa); value, £7 10s. Not identifiable.

Auckland. HARVEY JEFFERSON, married, 5 Pakanui Avenue, Epsom, a small leather wallet, “ Y.M.C.A.” on outside, containing £7 and two receipts from Eeley, dressmaker ; value, £7 ss. Wallet and receipts identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about forty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., believed Dalmatian, strong build, dark hair and complexion, heavy dark eyebrows. Suspect while riding a bicycle in Manaku Road knocked down complainant and assisted her to her home, after which the money was found to be missing.

Auckland. —Between the 19th November and 15th March last, from the gymnasium of the Sacred Heart College, the property of the N.Z. GOVERNMENT (Defence Department), two -22 single-shot Winchester rifles, “ Hazards Champion,” marked on barrel; value, £2 10s. Not identifiable.

Auckland. Between 3rd and 4th ultimo, the shop of ALBERT HARRY CURNICK, 89 Green Lane Road, Remuera, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A quantity of various brands of tobacco and cigarettes, and 3s. in pennies ; total value, £47 13s. Not identifiable.

Identification doubtful. A necklet found in the showroom is believed to have been left by the offender.

Auckland. —Between 18th and 19th April last from the cloak-room of the Dixieland Cabaret, the property of KATHLEEN MARY SCOTT ALEXANDER, 166 a Remuera Road, a full-length black coney seal fur coat, deep reversible collar and cuffs of mole-lined with red and blue brocade ; value, £SO. Identifiable. A half-length black seal coney fur coat, stamped “ L.Z.” was left behind by the offender.

Auckland. —Between the 14th and 15th ultimo, the dwelling of MARY NICHOLLS, widow, Allandale Road, Mount Albert, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : An oval beach-stone gold-rimmed brooch, set with a diamond in centre, safety-chain attached ; value, £2. Identifiable.

Auckland. —Between the 14th and 19th ultimo, the wine-store of VLADIMIR EUGENE PISARENKO, 120 Park Road, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A gentlemen’s grey sack coat, a 14-in. brown leather attache - case, a quantity of wine, bottled and in earthenware jars ; value, £36 Os. 6d. Coat and attache-case only identifiable.

Auckland. — On the 29th March last, the dwelling of JAMES ARTHUR WILSON, labourer, Great North Road, Avondale, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A gentlemen’s keyless metal “Elgin” open-face watch, spring broken ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Auckland. 2Bth February last, from 37 Hurstmere Road, Takapuna, the property of CECIL WILLIAM JONES, subdriver, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold Waltham watch, value £8 (recovered). Suspicion is attached to Russell Jordan, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., motor mechanic, slight build, sallow complexion, dark hair. The watch was pledged in Auckland by a man who gave the name Charles Jones, and he may be identical with the suspect, who disappeared from the above house where he was boarding.

Onehunga. —NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT’S (Defence Department) binoculars, &c., stolen. The rifle has been found : not stolen. - (See Police Gazette, 1927, page 352.)

Papakura. —Between 30th August and sth September last, from the dwelling of ANNIE ATKINS, domestic, Clevedon, a gold bar brooch with Turkish sovereign attached ; value, £3 10s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Christina Campbell, nurse, age forty, who was nursing complainant at the time of the offence. She has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted.

Hamilton. Between 2nd and 3rd instant, the premises of W. D. AND H. O. WILLS, tobacco-merchants, Alexander Street, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : Seven Bengal razors, razor-strop, four cigarette-cases, a pipe, a quantity of Three Castles cigarettes ; value, £l2. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., slight .build, pale complexion, fair hair.

Marton. l6th ultimo, from outside the Turakina Cheese Factory, the property of ALFRED LAURENCE GOLDSACK, a gentlemen’s blue-enamelled racing - bicycle, down turned handles, steel mudguards, Boucher transfer, No. 11047; value, £7 10s. Identifiable.

Eketahuna.— On the 12th or 13th instant, the dwelling of CECIL KEBBELL, farmer, Te Hoe, was broken into and a His Master’s Voice flat gramophone, value £l2, stolen therefrom. Identifiable.

Upper Hutt. — On 19th March last, from the Trentham Camp, the property of REGINALD BAKER, Camp Road, Trentham, a gentlemen’s free-wheel bicycle, upturned reversible handles, “ Earl ”on driving-wheel; value, £3 10s. Identifiable.

Lower Hutt. —On 28th February last, from outside the Town Hall, the property of ERNEST JAMES CALDWELL, 18 Oriental Street, Petone, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Argyle bicycle, slightly upturned handles, no grips, steel mudguards, back-pedalling brake ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Petone.- -7th ultimo, from Nelson Street, the property of WILLIAM BRINSLEY NICHOLSON, journalist, 44 Nelson Street, a gentlemen’s free-wheel Massey bicycle, reversible upturned handles, black rubber grips, Palmer tires, Brooks ladies’ saddle, Eadie coaster hub, steel mudguards, Bosch generator lamp ; value, £B. Identifiable. ,

Wellington. 4th ultimo, from the studio of FLORA PEYTON, music -teacher, Manners Street, a table-gramo-phone, old model; a silver cigarette-case, chased, engraving back and front-; and an account-book : value, £9. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in., slight build, sallow complexion, who was carrying a gramophone in Manners Street.

Wellington. l2th ultimo, from a motor-car in Dixon Street, the property of WILLIAM BRANSON, retired, Onslow Road, Napier, a brown leather 30 in. by 10 in. by 15 in. portmanteau, believed branded “W. Branson ” on outside, containing a large dinner-suit, makers “Cox” or “Parker, Napier”; a brown tweed large suit, Cox, Napier, maker ; two blade razors, one branded “Napier”; a handworked electric torch; two ivory-backed military hairbrushes, shaving gear, underclothing marked “ W. Branson,” and sundry papers : value, £SO. Identifiable.

Wellington.— Between 23rd and 26th ultimo, the garage of L. J. PURDIE AND CO., electricians, 34-36 Mercer Street, was broken into, and a 6 volt, type No. 613, Prestolite battery stolen, “ J.F.K.” and “ Presto-lite ” branded on rubber case ; value, £6 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington. On the 22nd ultimo the dwelling of ARTHUR ROGERS, storeman, Happy Valley, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A 15 ct. gold wedding-ring ; a silver small curb watch-chain, no vest clip ; and £4 16s. : value, £7 6s. Identifiable except money.

Greymouth. —Between 11th and 12th instant the dwelling of LAURIE INKSTER, photographer, Mardsen Road, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A violin and imitation-leather case; a camera; a Remington portable typewriter ; a 365-day glass-domed clock ; an electric sewingmachine motor, 230 volts ; an electric Westinghouse automatic iron, No. 449002 ; a No. 1 Kodak Junior camera, 7-7 lens in khaki case ; a brown leather brief ; a pair of biscope opera-glasses; an aluminium kettle; four record albums ; forty-eight assorted records ; a tap-filter ; forty tins “ Yankee Doodle ” tobacco ; one kitchen clock; two electric torches ; two grey felt hats, “ Victor J ” branded on lining, size 6J; and a ladies’ grey leather hand-bag, branded “ Mrs. Inkster ”on inside lining : value, £122.
