Kingsland.— or 22nd October last, from a motor-car in Altham Avenue, the property of FREDERICK HENRY GUNBIE, 30 Altham Avenue, a switch-box, No. 52, for a Ford motor-car; an electric coil ; two head-light and one spot-light adapters ; and a nickel radiator-cap : total value, £4. Mostly identifiable.
Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). —13th October last, from a shed on the Central Wharf, the property of JOHN ALBERT POLLOCK, Sydney, a light-coloured leather gladstone bag with “ J.A.P.” on one side ; a pass-book on the Commonwealth Bank of Australia ; a first-class engineer’s ticket issued by the Victorian Marine Board ; several ship’s discharges and references ; a wallet; and a suit of pyjamas &c. : total value, £4 10s. Identifiable.
Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— 7th October last, from a room in the Sailors’ Home, the property of ELIZABETH JOSEPHINE DEMPSEY, a string of white graduated pearls with small screw-top fastener ; value, £5. Identifiable.
Auckland. —10th ultimo, from the G.P.O. Buildings, the property of NORMAN CHARLES GALLOT, 9 O’Neill Street, Ponsonby, a kit-bag (recovered) ; a surveyor’s book with black cardboard cover containing surveyor’s field sheets and a linen plan of the Beach Road drainage ; total value, £2 4s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Charles Williams (name probably fictitious), age about forty, height about 6ft., stout build, fresh complexion, fair hair, clean-shaved; dressed in a navy-blue suit and black bowler hat. The description is that of a man who sold the bag to a second-hand dealer.
Auckland. — 17th ultimo, from the Clarendon Hotel, the property of NORMAN McLEOD, police constable, Wellington, a gentlemen’s navy-blue velour overcoat, half belt and vent at back, small repair near right pocket; a gentlemen’s grey sports coat, four outside pockets; and a yellow celluloid comb : total value, £5 13s. 6d. Identifiable except comb. Suspicion is attached to Frank Russell, age about twenty-four, height about 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark-brown hair, clean - shaved, several front teeth missing ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and grey cap ; shabby appearance.
Auckland. — 13th ultimo, from 50 Cook Street, the property of ALFRED WEBSTER, a gentlemen’s navy-blue serge suit, small size, cuff bottoms on trousers, “ John Preston and Sons ” on trousers buttons ; two shirts, one with purple stripes and one with red and black stripes ; and a brown leather kit-bag : total value, £ls 3s. Identifiable.
Auckland. — 21st August last, from a house in Hauraki Street, Birkenhead, the property of BENJAMIN TAPSCOTT HAWKINS, a gentlemen’s silver English hunting-watch, keywind, “ Bartlett ” thereon, “ B. T. Hawkins ” inside back case ; and a gold fetter-and-oval watch-chain with small oval-shape gold locket attached; total value, £7 10s. Identifiable.
Auckland. Between the 25th October last and the 13th ultimo, from a launch at Ponsonby Beach, the property of LESLIE EJR.DE, 28 Finch Street, a triangular-shape black silk cushion-cover trimmed with gold silk ; two paint-brushes ; 12s. 6d. in money ; a large fibre suit-case with leather handle; and a gentlemen 's’black rubber mackintosh with loose belt and slanting pockets, &c. : total value, £5 2s. 2d. Identifiable except money.
Katjkati. — On the 21st ultimo the hut of THOMAS McQUILLAN, Apata, was broken into, and £45 in money stolen therefrom. Not identifiable.
Morrinsville. — On the 2nd. or 3rd ultimo, the shop of ARTHUR THEODORE BREMNER, Studholm Street, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : two vestpocket Carbine cameras ; a vest-pocket Apem camera ; a No. 2 Brownie folding camera,'No: 869156 and an Apem folding camera with F 6.9 lens : total value, £l7 15s. Identifiable.
Hamilton. 2Bth October last, from the High School, the property of WILLIAM TOMBS, Garden Place, a boy’s black-enamelled Solar bicycle, black turned-down handles, rubber grips ; value, £lO. Identifiable.
Putaruru. lst ultimo, the property of MONTAGUE LANGUE, farmer, Okoroire, an aged dark-bay gelding, about 14£ hands, broad white face ; a small riding-saddle with leather girth and surcingle, kneepads broken, nickel stirrup irons ; and a bridle with nickel squares on front band : total value, £9. Identifiable.
Taneatua. On the 14th October last the dwelling of HENRY ELLERY was broken into and the following stolen therefrom : An open-face metal wristlet watch; a vestpocket Kodak camera with F. 6.3 lens; and,a flat electric torch : total value, £6. Identifiable. f
of y. Rotorua. —19th October last, from the King George V. Hospital, the property of JAMES TAIT, a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold hunting Waltham watch, and a fancy curb fine gold watch-chain, with sovereign-case attached, similar to illustration No. 27 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2; total value, £ls ss. Identifiable.
Wellington. 9th or 10th ultimo, from a motor-car which was unlawfully used, the property of JOSEPH WILLIAM COX, 3 Limbric Street, Palmerston North, a travelling-rug with “ Kaiapoi ” thereon, no fringe, fawn on one side, check on the other side with fawn background ; a heavy fawn gabardine overcoat, single-breasted, two square-cut outside pockets; and a double-breasted light-fawn raincoat, slanting outside pockets, may have “ Maclcy, Logan,” thereon : total value, £ls. Identifiable.

Wellington. —lsth October last, from Grey Street, the property of INGLIS BROS., Taranaki Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Astonia bicycle, straight handles, “ Astonia ”on front; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.
Wellington. On the 19th or 20th August last the dwelling of ISAAC SALEK, 288 The Terrace, was broken into and the following stolen therefrom : A crescent-shape brooch with opals and diamonds ; a pair of greenstone cufflinks ; a green leather purse with clasp in centre ; a snakeskin purse; and about £5 in money: total value, £l7. Identifiable except money.
Wellington. —llth October last, from the Community Club, Buckle Street, the property of THOMAS HENRY NAPIER, 107 Aro Street, a gentlemen’s black-and-blue-enamelled bicycle, red wheels, straight handles, Oceanic tire on front wheel, Barnet-Glass tire on back wheel; value, £5. Identifiable.
Christchurch. — On the Ist or 2nd instant, the premises of E. REECE, Limited, 661 Colombo Street, were broken into and the following stolen therefrom : two -32 five-cham-bered Harrington and Richardson revolvers; one -32 fivechambered Ivor Johnston revolver; two or three hundred rounds -32 short ammunition ; a two-cell electric torch; a ladies’ gold wristlet watch ; and two ladies’ 9 ct. gold signet rings : total value, about £l4. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Lea (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-seven, height about 5 ft. 8 in., showman, strong build, dark complexion and hair; well dressed in a dark suit and felt hat; smart appearance ; follows agricultural shows. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Rita Thompson, age twenty-one, height 5 ft. 4 in., domestic, native of New Zealand, slight build, pale complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. She has been interviewed., but no evidence resulted.
