INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Ballarat (Victoria).24th June last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Mary Ellen Salter, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, Samuel Salter, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 8 in., sawmiller, dark hair turning grey, blue bloodshot eyes, scar on nose and on back of right hand, round shoulders ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and dark-grey soft-felt hat. He is said to have come to New Zealand accompanied by Mrs. Dunn, age thirty-eight, height about 5 ft. 2 in, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes ; dressed in a brown knitted costume, and wears a gold brooch with “ F.M.D.” on it. If he is located, an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (See Victoria Police Gazette, 1926, page 471.)
