MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION.

Examinations for Promotion, 1926. Members of the Force who are candidates for the annual examinations for promotion to be held in September next are reminded of the provisions of Regulation No. 406, which require that notice of intention to sit for examination must be given during the month of July. Any intending candidate who fails to give such notice within the prescribed time will not be permitted to sit for examination. ' W. B. Mcllveney, Commissioner of Police. Wellington, Bth July, 1926.

Lost Police Gazette. A volume of 1924 Police Gazette which was forwarded from Hamilton Police-station in April last to the Government Printing Office to be bound has gone astray. It may have been bound and sent by the Government Printer to some police-station or prison other than Hamilton. The Gazette is marked “ Police Library, Hamilton,” and if it has been received at any police-station or prison a communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (C.R. 26/11.)
