Rawene. —Between the 3rd and 6th ultimo, from the dwelling of ALICE McKENZIE, Broadwood, Hokianga, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with three large pearls and two diamonds, ring has been cut and enlarged ; a ladies’ 9 ct. gold dress-ring, set with five garnets ; and a ladies’ 18 ct. gold dress-ring, well worn, set with five diamonds in platinum setting : total value. £52. Auckland.AßTHUß FOOTE’S dwelling broken into : The suspect, John Buckley, alias Herbert Leslie Buckley, alias Thompson, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, but no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1925, page 587.)

Auckland. —On or about the Bth September last, the property of RITA EILEEN MOLOUGHNEY, 27 Waiatarua Road, Remuera, a ladies’ gold keyless wristlet watch, “ R.1.M.” on outside of back case, expanding bracelet attached ; value, £B. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Stanley McDonald, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 7 in., butcher and labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion and hair, scar on right side of head ; dressed in a grey suit and felt hat turned down.

Auckland. —13th ultimo, from a cabaret in Queen Street, the property of JOHN HUTTON, s.s. “ Waiotapu,” a gentlemen’s double-breasted navy-blue frieze overcoat, belt at back, black lining ; a tobacco-pipe* with straight stem ; and a leather tobacco-pouch : total value, £lO 19s. Identifiable.

Huntly.2oth July last, from a hut at Glen Afton, the property of JOHN TUDOR, two £1 notes. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to John Hall, alias Haggart, alias Hopkins, alias Hacketts, age about forty, height oft. 9in., bushman, slight build, fresh complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved, eyeteeth missing ; dressed in <y blue suit and soft-felt hat. Frankton Junction.—On the 10th ultimo the premises of SING LEE, Kent Street, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom: £l6 3s. 4d. in money, and a 9 ct. gold open-face wristlet watch; total value, £2l 3s. 4d. Watch only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about twenty-two, height 5 ft. 5 in., native of China, slight build, sallow complexion, black hair ; dressed in a blue suit and a greenish -gabardine overcoat.

Raurimu. —26th September last, from the Spiral Hotel, the property of ARTHUR REES, farmer, Kaituke, a gentlemen’s large-size light-brown rubber overcoat, with belt, vent at back with small tear at top ; value, £4. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Holmes (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-six, height 5 ft. 8 in., slight build, sallow complexion, long black hair, lumps on bridge of nose, cleanshaved ; dressed in a blue-serge suit and grey-felt hat.

Palmerston North.29th September last, the property of JOHN DAVIS POWER, care of Drysdale and Co., Auckland, a gentlemen’s heavy khaki motor-coat, woolly material, square-pattern lining ; value, £9 15s. Identifiable.

Dunedin. — 12th ultimo, from Wain’s Hotel, the property of HENRY RICHARDSON ELDER, Havelock North, a small rug, greenish-grey on one side, grey with mauve stripes on the other; a pair of gentlemen’s brown-leather gloves, size 8| ; a white handkerchief, with “H. E. Elder” on one comer; a gentlemen’s heavy brown-serge overcoat, size 5, vent at back, light-brown lining : total value, £9 6s. Identifiable.
