Avondale.— Len Blakelly, theft: It has been ascertained by the Taupo police that he is not identical with dames Robert Blakely. (See Police Gazette, 1925, page 485.)

Auckland. ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Margaret Austin, 8 New Street, Ponsonbv, Albert Henry Austin, age fifty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., tailor, native of Ireland, medium build, fresh complexion, curly black hair going bald, blue eyes ; dressed in a blue-serge or dark-tweed suit and and hotels. Auckland. August last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for one month in default of paying £l4 ss. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his two children, John Donald Clow Nicolson, age thirtythree, height 5 ft. 3£ in., seaman, native of Scotland, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, scroll ; “ M.G.C.,” flag, and clasped hands on left forearm ; star at base of right thumb ; dressed in a dark-serge suit; fond of drink. Auckland. —22nd August last, on warrant for trespass on the Auckland Trotting Club’s racecourse at Epsom, William Ingram, alias Margott, alias Peterson, age thirty-eight, height 4 ft. 114 in., labourer and jockey, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue-grey eyes ; scar on nose, on lower lip, and on left leg. Wanganui.—On or about the 18th August last, on warrant for forgery, Thomas Christian Jensen, age about thirty, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of Denmark, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, boil-scar on left forearm ; dressed in a grey suit and cap. Accused stole a blank cheque from his employer, Douglas Jarvis, farmer, Waitotara, filled it in for £36, forged his employer’s signature to it, and uttered it to Arthur Harding Parkinson, storekeeper, in payment of £8 7s. lOd. for goods, and received £27 2s. Wellington.—2Bth August last, for false pretences and forgery, T. B. Jones, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., good build, dark hair, brown eyes ; dressed in a -tweed suit and cap. Accused obtained goods (value 10s.) and £8 ss. cash from Margaret Thomas, storekeeper, 73 Hawkestone Street, by means of a valueless cheque for £8 155., to which he had forged the signature of W. Cable and Co. He represents himself to be a one-minute photographer, and may be found taking photographs in the streets in some of the towns or at side shows. Dunedin.2sth August last, on warrant for theft of a Harley - Davidson motor - bicycle and side - chair, engine No. 20T. 10446 on crank-case, registered No. N.Z. 14-577, new forks, handles have been welded in centre, rear mudguard has been cut to allow of oversize tire being fitted on, one side of chair has been broken and renewed, two iron bands over front of chair, value £45, identifiable, the property of Todd Bros., motor-garage proprietors, R. Franklin (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-four, height about 5 ft. 10 in., slight build, dark complexion ; dressed in a dark suit; speaks quietly. Accused was permitted to have the bicycle from the 22nd to 24th August last on trial, and has disappeared. V -^—/Z"<>3.
