Auckland. 3rd ultimo, from the railway-station, the property of WILLIAM ERNEST CURTIS, 3 Dommett Avenue, Epsom, a brown-leather satchel, with “ W.E.C.” on flap ; a white-handled Bengal razor; a shaving-brush ; a dagger-shaped nickel paper-knife, “ N.Z. Herald” thereon; a Cammell fountain pen ; a pair of pliers ; a black-leather sovereign-purse; a Post Office Savings-bank book, No. 461514 ; and 4s. in money : total value, £7 11s. 6d. identifiable except money.

Suspicion is attached to Mabel Isabella Brooks, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 3 in., native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown buster-cut hair, blue eyes, birth-mark on right knee. Palmerston North. —On or about 11th July last, the property of CEDRIC GLOVER ALLEN, Cuba Street, Wellington, a light-fawn stone-martin necklet with fawn-silk lining; and two sable-fox furs, silk-lined : total value, £36. Necklet only identifiable.

Palmerston North. or about the 4th June last, the property of ANDREW THOMAS LONG, jeweller, 243 Queen Street, Auckland, a gold engagement-ring, set with a cluster of nine diamonds, “No. 250 ” and probably “A. T. Long ” on inside ; and a ladies’ 9 ct. gold Baume wristlet watch, “ Baume ” on dial, number commencing 76, with a 9 ct. gold box expanding bracelet attached : total value, £53. Identifiable. Complainant received by post two non-negotiable orders for £53 endorsed “D. O’Brien, Mangamutu,” with a request that above jewellery be sent to Terrace End Postoffice. The jewellery was forwarded and the endorsements were found to be forgeries.

Martin borough. —May last, the property of ALPHONSUS MAHONEY, Moeraki, Hinakura, a gentlemen’s silver demihunting Waltham watch, seven jewels, engine-turned cases, “ A.M.” on outside and “ From D. Cameron, London, 1924,” on inside of back case ; and a fawn rainproof overcoat, maker Schneideman, Wellington : total value, £9 2s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Robert Jeffery, age about twenty, '"height about 5 ft. 7 in., farm hand, native of New Zealand, strong build, sallow complexion, fair hair, watery blue eyes, upper front teeth missing; wears a hat pulled down over left ear.

Wellington. —On the 23rd May last the dwelling of HELEN CATHERINE LEAN, 21 Goa Street, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A money-box containing £3 in money, and a 15 ct. gold ring, set with three diamonds in claw setting; total value, £2B. Identifiable except money.

Wellington.—Bth ultimo, the property of PERCY HAROLD O’DONNELL, 55 Manners Street, £l4 in money ; a heavy silver pencil; and a -shaped Geneva lens, nickel dial, with “Geneva Lens” and “Arthur Cocks and Company ” thereon : total value, £lB ss. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about thirty height about 5 ft. 10 in., strong build, dark complexion and hair, light-brown shifty eyes, clean-shaved ; dressed in navy-blue trousers, blue nap overcoat, and grey-felt hat.
