Identifiable.

Auckland. 6th ultimo, the property of CLAUDE BROWNE, 10 Karetu Road, a brown-check Kaiapoi travellingrug, fringe on each end, checks larger on one side than the other value, £2. Identifiable. Auckland. —On the 18th ultimo the shop of R. and W. Hellaby, butchers, was broken into and £3O in money stolen from the safe, which was opened by explosives. Not identifiable.

Between the 15th and 17th ultimo the premises of the FARMERS’ UNION TRADING COMPANY, Hobson Street, were broken into, and the following stolen from the safe, which was cut open : £470 15s. 9d. in money; three £1 English Treasury notes ; Auckland Hospital Board interest coupons to the value of £l6 10s., due 1/9/25 ; War Certificates, value £26, due 1/12/25, “ C. Straka, Puhoi,” on back of each ; a money-order for £5, payable at Auckland to W. T. Morey, Remuera, from Miss Keeford ; and a canvas money-bag with C.O.D. in ink thereon : total value, £521 ss. 9d. Auckland. —llth ultimo, from Upper Queen Street, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Post and Telegraph Department), a 20 ft. extension ladder, branded “P. & T.” ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Wanganui. the 26th or 27th ultimo, the premises of ROBERT McSKIMMING, tailor, 106 Victoria Avenue, were broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : 62f yards of blue Saltaire serge, branded with figure of a sheep every two yards ; 6J yards blue Topmost serge ; 14 yards fancy grey worsted cloth; and 3£ yards black pinhead cloth: total value, £B2 10s. Wellington.— l2th ultimo, from the person of WILLIAM JOHN MABEN, Johnson ville, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold keyless double-case Geneva lever watch, “W. J. Maben ” on case ; value, £lO. Identifiable. While under the influence of liquor complainant was accosted by three American sailors, who snatched his watch and ran away.
