Devonport. —Bth ultimo, on warrant for theft of £6 ss. l|d., the property of John McGregor, baker, Victoria Road, James Stanley Jansen, age twenty-two, height 5 ft. 8 in., motordriver, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved ; dressed in a light-grey-tweed suit and soft black hat. He may be accompanied by Iris Black, age twenty, height about 5 ft. 4 in., medium build, pale complexion, fair buster-cut hair, blue eyes, round face ; dressed in a fawn costume or nigger-brown dress and a tan overcoat or a mole-coloured overcoat trimmed with Astrakhan, suede shoes, black stockings, and a black-satin or mole-coloured velour hat. Accused, who was employed by complainant to deliver bread, received the amount on terms requiring him to account for it to his employer, but he fraudulently omitted to do so. There are other charges pending. He may attempt to leave this Dominion.

Blades, 340 Mount Eden Road, and others.

Accused obtained a pair of boots, value £1 12s. Gd., and £9 12s. cash from Hannah and Co., boot-merchants, by means of a valueless cheque for £ll ss. He is identical with man of same name referred to in Police Gazette, 1925, page 248, and the Photograph of Richard Edward Ellis, alias Victor William Edward Ellis, referred to in Police Gazette, 1924, page 694, and Photographs, 1923, page 9>has been identified as that of accused. kV
