Auckland. —On the 3rd ultimo the premises of ROSENEELD AND CO., timber-merchants, in The Strand, Parnell, were broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A Baby Ben alarm-clock ; a Gillette safety razor, with Wallace on case; a pair of glace-kid.boots with patent toes, size' 8 ; and a quantity of carpenter’s tools : total value, £3 10s. 6d. Identifiable.

Auckland. lsth ultimo, from the junction of Basque Road and Eden Terrace, the property of JOHN THOMAS LIGHTON, surveyor, a light-brown-leather attache-case, containing a small adjustable magnifying-glass ; two composition set-squares ; an 18 in. boxwood rule, graduated for 40 ft. on one side and 40 links on the other; two 18 in. boxwood rules, “ J.T.L.” on one and “ A.C.C.” on the other ; a pair of compasses ; and two photographs : total value, £4 Is. 6d. Hamilton. —24th ultimo, from Lowry’s Tea-rooms, the property of RICHARD PI LKINGTON, traveller, a brown Gladstone bag, containing a pair of black lace-up boots, size 8, with rubber soles ; a suit of pyjamas ; three pairs of socks ; several shirts ; two black-handled razors ; and several papers : total value, £4. New PIymouth. —ALEXANDER BAIN’S store broken into : John Henry Willetts has been interviewed regarding the offence by the New Plymouth police, but no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1924, page 291.)

Wanganui. —l6th ultimo, from 21 Nelson Street, the property of FRANK ROBINSON, railway porter, a gentlemen’s gold-cased Elgin watch, No. 4935301 ; and a pair of nigger-brown boots, size 8 : total value, £9 7s. 6d. Identifiable.

Wanganui. Between the 16th and 17th ultimo the shops of MASEMANN AND FRASER and ALFRED JAMES WHYMAN, motor engineers, Anzac Parade, were broken into, and about £1 ss. in cash, a cheque-book on the Bank of New Zealand, Wanganui (Nos. 420490 to 420504), and about twenty-four penny stamps, stolen therefrom.

Masterton. —Between the 29th and 30th ultimo the shop of LEONARD ALFRED WADHAM, tobacconist, 110 Queen Street, was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : Two Gem safety razors; two suede tobaccopouches with dome fasteners, with “ Mosleys, Keolden, Made in England,” on inside of each ; a quantity of tobacco and cigarettes ; two £1 notes ; and about £3 3s. in silver : total value, about £8 18s. Eady & Co.” on horn, dent under bowl, in a black case with velveteen lining ; value, £54. Identifiable.

Wellington. 2lst April last, from a motor-ear in Dover Street, the property of DONALD IRWIN, Tavistock Road, a brown-leather suit-case, with “ Savage ” on inside,' containing a blue-serge suit, with “ Baker, Manners Street,” on tab of coat ; a Tobralco shirt ; a singlet, underpants, and pyjamas ; a Glencoe razor, with “Duncan and D.L.1.” on case, and shaving-outfit ; two military hair-brushes ; a , yellow and black and white scarf ; a dark-blue-velvet dress ; a whitesilk skirt and jumper ; a quantity of ladies’ underclothing ; and several books of music : total value, £3O.
