Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). — the 3rd and 13th March last, while in transit between Dunedin and Auckland, per s.s. “ Wingatui,” the property of the UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY, fourteen grey-felt hats of various sizes, with “ Housebrand, H.B. Clothing Company,” on insid” of each ; total value, £lO 3s. Identifiable.
Auckland. —Between the 15th and 17th March last the Woolnough Window-factory was broken into, and the following tools stolen therefrom, the property of ALFRED WOOLNOUGH and others : A quantity of carpenter’s tools, including hammers, chisels, saws, &c. (some recovered) ; total value, £3 19s. fid. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Harry Brayburn (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-four, height about 5 ft. 2 in., wire-worker, medium build, dark complexion, clean-shaved.
Auckland. — Between the 24th and 26th ultimo the shop of WILLIAM BELL at 15 Darby Street was broken into, and a quantity of cigarettes, cigars, and tobacco of various brands stolen therefrom ; total value, £ll 18s. Not identifiable.
Auckland. ultimo, from a coat in a fitting-room at the shop of JOHN MCDONALD, tailor, 58 Queen Street, two £5 notes, nine £1 notes, a cheque for £8 155., No. 481413, on the Bank of New South Wales, Hawera, dated 17th March, 1924, drawn by James Foy in favour of J. McDonald; and a dark-red-morocco-leather wallet, 6 in. by 4£ in. : total value, £29. Identifiable except money.
Auckland.On the 14th ultimo the shop of RENFORTH DENVERS, boot-importer, at 268 Queen Street, was broken into, and the following boots stolen therefrom : A pair of children’s black-glace one-bar shoes, size 4 ; three pairs of Crockett and Jones box-calf semi-brogue boots, sizes 64, 7, and 8 ; two pairs of glace-kid Oxford shoes, branded “ S.U. & Co,” sizes 6 and 7 ; a pair of box-calf Oxford shoes, branded “ S.U. & C 0.,” size 6 ; two pairs of box-calf Derby boots, Driped brand, green-hide soles, branded Surgical Appliance C 0.,” sizes 64 and 8; five pairs of dark-tan Derby boots, sizes 7,8, and 9; a pair of Pyramid brand glace-kid closedfront boots, size 7 ; two pairs of box-calf closed-front whole golosh boots, sizes 6 and 7 ; a pair of box-calf Sterling boots, size 7 ; four pairs of glace Derby boots, sizes 5,6, 8, and 9 ; six pairs of gentlemen’s black box-calf Derby boots, waterproof tongue, sizes 6,7, and 9; a pair of black patent one-bar buckle shoes, size 4 ; a pair of black-glaco patent hidebuckle shoes, size 4 ; two pairs of nigger glace-kid one-bar button shoes, size 6 ; a pair of gold brocade court-shoes, tab in front, size 3 ; a pair of Biegc suede one-bar shoes, size 3 ; two pairs of glace-kid four-bar elastic gusset shoes, sizes 4 and 5; and £1 7s. 9d. in silver: total value, £49 Is. lOd. Auckland. ultimo, from a bathroom in the Albert Hotel, the property of JOSEPH MCCARTHY DEVINE, farmer, Awapuni, a grey-tweed vest, a gentlemen’s nickel open-face keyless watch, luminous English figures ; a 15 ct. gold fetter-and-oval double watch-chain, with a 15 ct. gold pendant with raised centre with “ J.D.” on it, and “ P.N.A.S.C. 100 yards, won by J. Devine,” on back attached ; a Waterman fountain pen; and two first-class return railway tickets, Auckland to Palmerston North, issued at Palmerston on the 21st ultimo : total value, £lB 12s. Identifiable.

Identifiable except money.
Auckland. February last, from a bedroom at the Metropolitan Hotel, the property of STEVEN OBERG, porter, a -silk shirt, size 3, with “ 5.0.” on neck-band; a white cotton shirt, size 3 ; an openwork cotton singlet; a grey rubber belt with patent fasteners; a jazz tie; and three handkerchiefs, “M ” on one and “ 0 ” on the others : total value, £2 12s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Bert Sisson, age about twenty-seven, height about 5 ft. 6 in., hotel porter, native of New Zealand, stout build, pale complexion, auburn hair, brown eyes; dressed in a navy-blue-sorgo suit, felt A/fc./ Waihi. —10th ultimo, from the' Martha Gold-mine, the property of WILLIAM PATERSON, Wenlock Street, a gentlemen’s 22 in. Hauraki bicycle, No. 1085, mud-guards and rims painted red ; value, £7. Identifiable.
Ngaruawaiiia.—Between the 19th and 20th ultimo a shed at Orini, the property of PIRI LAND COMPANY was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A set of Ostler Bull-dog pipe stock and dies ; a pipe-vice; a set of pipe-cutters ; a Stilson wrench; a metal spirit-level; six wood-bits ; two metal drills ; three soldering-irons ; a set of Bittle-Grant-Whitworth stock and dies, made by Wells Bros. ; an engineer’s hammer; a spanner ; a round file ; and a Big Ben alarm-clock: total value, £3O. Ostler stock and dies and spirit-level only identifiable.
Frankton Junction. —9th March last, from behind a church in London Street, the property of GORDON PETERSEN, student, 70 ltemuera Road, Auckland, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, upturned handles, Michelin tire on front wheel, Dunlop tire on back wheel; value, £5. Identifiable.
Hamilton. —Between the 26th December and the 11th January last, from the dwelling of DORA MADGE FRASER, at 4 Von Tempsky Street, an 18 ct. gold ring, set with three diamonds in claw setting ; a sovereign ; and a half-sovereign : total value, £3l 10s. Ring only identifiable.
. New Plymouth. l6th March last, from clothing in a dressing-shed at the baths, the property of ROYCE HOOKER, carrier, a watch-chain and three medals (recovered), and a gentlemen’s silver open-face keyless watch, “ Selczic ” on dial, gold hands ; total value, £B. Identifiable.
Palmerston North.lst ultimo, from a motor-car at the junction of Ferguson and Oxford Streets, the property of PERCIVAL FRASER HODGSON, company-manager, a parcel containing clothing, including shirts, pyjamas, handkerchiefs, collars, and a pair of white-flannel trousers ; and a parcel containing a ledger-book relating to the estate of Mrs. Jeffrey, Gisborne, a greenish cash-book, and a stockbook : total value, £5 3s. Wellington. —Between the 21st and 22nd ultimo the premises of W. D. AND H. O. WILLS, cigarette-manufac-turers, at the junction of Blair and Wakefield Streets, were broken into, and a quantity of Capstan cigarettes in seventyfour packages, and three sacks with “ Kong Fong & Co., Masterton,” and “ Harroway Dominion Rolled 'Flour ” on each; total value, £75. Coe, Wanganui, 1899,” on it ; a gold medal with wings on top, with “ Point prize, A. H. Coe, 1899,” on it; a gold medal, with “ Wanganui Gun Club, Live Sparrows, won by A. H. Coe, 1922,” on it ; a gold Maltese-cross medal, with “ Mile Championship, won by A. H. Coe, 1901,” on it; and a gold medal, with “ Presented by Speight’s Ltd. Bowling Championship, won by A. H.
