SPECIAL NOTICE.
Wellington.-On the night of the 16th instant a quantity of gelignite was stolen from a quarry at Lyall Bay; and on the night of the 19th instant a plate-glass window in the premises of John A. .Smyth, Mercer street, was broken, and a standard high-power portable electric drill stolen therefrom. The drill weighs less than 20 lb. and can be carried in a large brief-bag. The stolen property may be used for criminal purposes.
