In future two copies, in lieu of one, of Police Form 54 (Report upon History and Character of Accused) are to be supplied to the officer in charge of the district in accordance

with the instructions appearing on page 478 of 1917 Police Gazette. One of these forms is to be attached to the accused’s file and remain thereon, while the other will be sent to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at which the accused is to be tried or sentenced ; it will then be forwarded by the Registrar to the Justice Department, and will not again be taken possession of by the police. The present system of forwarding this form to the Commissioner of Police, Criminal Registration Branch, is to be discontinued. A. H. Wright, Commissioner of Police. 29th August, 1922.
