MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION.
Memorandum.] ■ Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22. With reference to the regulations under the above Act published in Police Gazette, 1922, page 209, by which the use of automatic guns for shooting game is prohibited, the Department of Internal Affairs advises that, owing to representations by users of such guns that it is impossible on account of the shortness of time to convert them into, in effect, ordinary double-barrelled guns, it has been decided not to enforce the restriction against the use of automatic guns this season, provided they have not a larger bore than the size known as No. 12 at the muzzle and do not exceed 10 lb. in weight. A. H. Wright, Commissioner of Police. Wellington, 29th April, 1922. (P. 22/615.) Resignations. No. 2336. Constable Blincoe, Eric Sidney. 6th April, 1922. No. 2304. Constable Hannafin, David Owen. 30th April, 1922.
