Wellsford. —On the 31st ultimo ROBERT GRAHAM BELL’S dwelling at Whangaripo was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : Five sovereigns, 10s. in silver, an Altona razor, and a quantity of tea and sugar, &c. ; total value, about £6 ss. Razor only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Two Men (names unknown). Description : First, age about thirty, fair complexion, clean-shaved ; dressed in a light-brown suit and dark-felt hat. Cambridge.-— 4th ultimo, from JAMES EDMOND STANCOMBE’S bedroom at Wainoni Boardinghouse, 10s. 6d. and two odd boots, one with lace-holes and the other with hooks, and one has a motor-tire-rubber sole ; total value, £2 10s. 6d. Boots only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to W. F. Mason (name probably fictitious), age forty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., native of England, medium build, dark hair turning grey, grey moustache ; dressed in a brown suit and brown-felt hat.

Cambridge. Between the 24th August and the 13th September last, from a farm at Whitehall, the property of GEURTH THOMASSON, 2 Shelly Beach Road, Auckland, a Trip or Jump Spark magneto with fittings, a carburettor with fittings, a shaft and separator driving-wheel, a brass tap, a benzine-tank, governors and fittings, a quantity of belting, and two split-pulleys ; total value, £4O. Magneto and carburettor identifiable.

Hamilton. December last, from the Waikato Club, the property of EDWIN HALL, draper, Victoria Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Invicta bicycle, No. 3180, straight handles with black grips, nickel rims, rat-trap pedals; also an ebony ,total value, £lO. On or about the 9th ultimo, from NORMAN RACKLEY HARRIS’S dwelling at 28 Hatrick Street, a ladies’ 18 ct. gold wristlet-watch, gold dial, English numerals, in a brown-leather wristlet with a gold buckle ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold half-hoop ring, set with five diamonds in claw setting ; and a ladies’ 9 ct. gold ring, set with a pink cameo: total value, £2l 15s. Identifiable.

Wanganui. 2Bth ultimo, from clothing in a cloak-room at the Bank of New Zealand, the property of JOHN DEMPSEY O’MEARA, clerk, a gentlemen’s silver open-face keyless watch, with “ Presented to J. S. Dempsey, Wanganui, 1904,” on inside of case ; an 18 ct. gold fetter-and-oval watch-chain ; and a black-leather wallet, containing a£l note : total value, £l9 10s. Identifiable except money.

Rongotea. 3lst ultimo, from SAMUEL TEAZ’S dwelling, twenty-four towels with “ S.T.” on each ; twenty-one towels with “S. T.” or “H. L. Teaz ” on each ; a linen tablecloth with Swan pattern around edge ; a linen tablecloth with a rose border and dots in centre ; six bed-sheets ; a black-silk wrist-bag with blue stripes; and a tortoiseshell purse, containing £1 18s. in silver : total value, £24 18s. Identifiable except money.

Wellington. 2sth November last, from the Dominion Museum, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Internal Affairs Department); a Solomon Island club, about 18 in. long (resembles a dagger) with stone knob which is covered with plaited coconut-fibre, hole in handle where fibre is made fast, thong of plaited fibre attached to handle, apex cloven, which gives it a scissor-like appearance ; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Wellington. —On or about the 13th ultimo, from JOHN GRAHAM’S dwelling at the Soldiers’ Hostel, Vivian Street, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Waltham watch, with ” J.G.” on back case, with a leather watch-guard attached; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington. —l2th ultimssfrom a hut at- the back of the Tea Kiosk, Lyall Bay, the property of JOHN MORGAN, a rug composed of rabbit-skins on outside, yellow skin in each comer, large grey-cat skin in centre, opossum-skins next to rabbit-skins lined with blue cloth value, £lO. Identifiable.

Greymouth. —On or about the 23rd ultimo, MARK SPROTT AND CO.’S store in Mackav Street was broken into, and the following liquor stolen therefrom : Thirty bottles of Irvine’s Australian wine, Madeira sherry, Crawford’s whisky, Irvine’s brandy, and Monteith’s ale and stout; total value, £7. Not identifiable.

Addington. —l9th July last, from JESSIE GABBOTT’S dwelling at 53 Clarence Road, a gold engagement-ring, set with four diamonds and three rubies in claw setting; and a gold band engagement-ring, with “ Jessie 14/1/07 ” on it: total value, £l2 10s. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —l2th ultimo, from Cashel Street, the property of WILLIAM ARTHUR McKINNEY, 307 Worcester Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled 'free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, No. 3480, upturned handles, back-pedalling brake, celluloid mud-guard on front wheel, steel mud-guard on back wheel, Oceanic tire on front wheel; value, £6. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —On the 24th or 25th December last the dwelling of ALBERT EDWARD PHILPOTT, coal-merchant, was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A 9 ct. gold band ring, set with a ruby ; a pair of gold sleevelinks ; a Kodak camera ; a red-lined leather purse, containing half a soveriegn, a three- or five-cent. piece, a £1 note, a ss. postal note, and 3d. : total value, £9 2s. 6d. Identifiable except money.

Southbridge. —On or about the 15th ultimo, from the roadside at Dunsandel, the property of CHARLES SAMUELS, baker, a light-bay aged spring-cart gelding, 15 hands, with white stripe on forehead ; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Ashburton. ultimo, from clothing in HERBERT JOHN L. CHAPMAN’S bedroom at Devan’s Hotel, a £5 note and six £1 notes. Suspicion is attached to Trotter, alias Oldfield, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, dark eyes; neatly dressed in a blue . suit and cap; smart appearance ; a good billiard-player.

oamartj,— On the 31st ultimo the dwelling of JOHN EADIE, auctioneer, Gretta Street, was broken into, and a navy-blue costume skirt, a lemon-coloured crepe-de-Chine dress, 2 yards of blue crepe de Chine, a linen fancy-work tray-cloth, two pairs of lemon-coloured silk stockings, a pair of black-silk stockings, a pair of evening cream gloves, a pair of single twill sheets, a gold cross pendant set with a ruby and nine diamonds, six £5 notes, and a £1 note, stolen therefrom ; total value, £6B 7s.
