Whang — 26th August last, that he may be located with the view of compelling him to register in accordance with the provisions of the Registration of - Aliens Act, 1917, Otto Olsen, age forty-one, height 5 ft. 10 in., bushman, native of Norway, medium build, light-brown hair.

Auckland. 7th ultimo, for theft of a gentlemen’s B.S.A. bicycle (recovered), value £6, the property of Thomas Bernard Coleman, 48 Grafton Road, Allan Olsen, age about twenty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New; Zealand, medium build, fair complexion,\ffifowri', hair .; dressed in a blue-serge suit and black-felt hat. Auckland. —Ist August last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for one month in default of paying £ll 3s. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Hilda 1 Greenwood, Bert George Greenwood, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer and jockey, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, scar at base of left thumb ; sometimes wears ridingbreeches and puttees or leggings and black-felt hat; fond of drink and billiards. Auckland. —sth August last, on warrant for theft of a silver-plated B Flat Class A Boosey cornet, No. 83676, B shank-piece and lyre in case,' value £ls, identifiable, the property of John Leonard Heath, secretary, Temperance Guards Band, Frederick John Smith, alias Charles A. Milson, age. about twenty-three, height 5 ft. 4 in., labourer and porter, medium build, fair hair and complexion, grey eyes ; dressed in a grey suit and grey-velour hat ; swinging gait; frequents billiard - rooms. • Accused joined the abovementioned band and the cornet was issued to him, after which he disappeared. Mercer. — 3rd August last, that a distress warrant for £5 16s. fine and costs for cruelty to a horse may be executed upon his effects, William John Baker, age about fifty-five, height 5 ft. 11 in., circus-proprietor, medinmjufild, ruddy complexion, grey hair. (S|ee Police Gazette,'Jsage Jiß2.)

Waihi. —19t.h August last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Mary Lomax, Waikino, Henry Latour Lomax, age fifty, height 6 ft. 31 in., carpenter, native of Australia, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown wavy hair and moustache, blue eyes, round chin, two scars on head ; dresses well in dark-tweed suits and soft hat, and stays at the best hotels. He left this . Dominion about three months ago with Mrs. Emily Strawbridge, whose address now is 22 Blurs Point, North Sydney, New South Wales. His mother resides at Tenterfield, New South Wales, and owns “ Tenterfield ” Estate. Arrears to 19th August last, £42.

Gisborne. —2Bth ultimo, that he may be compelled to pay arrears of maintenance due for the support of his children, inmates of an industrial school, George Marriner, age fiftyseven, height 5 ft. 9J in., carpenter and station hand, native of New Zealand, dark hair, brown eyes, wide nose, wart on left shoulder, scar on one arm and on left thumb and ringfinger ; varicose veins in left leg;-a half-caste Maori. Gisborne. 2nd August last, on warrant of commitment to Napier Prison for seven days in default of paying £3 13s. fine and costs for being found on licensed premises during prohibited hours, Sydney Edward Dennett, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 9.1 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair and complexion, brown eyes ; woman, anchor, and star on right arm ; bull-dog, flag, woman’s head, and two hearts on left arm ; dressed in a brown-tweed suit, black-felt hat, and tan b6ots ; erect gait. Taihape.— 29th ultimo, that she may be induced to register in accordance with the provisions of the Registration of Aliens Act, 1917, Edith Harriet Brown, married, native of New Zealand. She will probably be with her husband, Martin Ralph Brown, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 11 in., labourer and mill hand, native of America, medium build, brown hair, clean-shaved ; sailor, clasped hands, and Swedish and American flags on right forearm.

New Plymouth. 22nd ultimo, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his four children, Walter McKay, alias Charles Henry Walsh, alias Welch, alias Henry Turner, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, long nose, wide nostrils.
