Auckland. 9th instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Mary McKenna, 9 Union Street, Alexander Ferguson McKenna, age forty, height 5 ft. 9 in., porter and labourer, slight build, pale complexion, sandy hair, blue eyes ; usually dressed in riding-breeches antkputtee/. j g i t dJ fAuckland.— John William Brooks, default of maintenance : It has now been ascertained by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police that he was not paid off the s.s. “ Kaiwarra ” at Newcastle, Australia, on the 10th October, 1920. A man named Michael Joseph Brooks was ill on that vessel and was removed at the port mentioned, but he is not identical with accused. His license has been cancelled and his arrest is desired. He is a recent arrival from England and speaks about London.
