INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.

Hobart (Tasmania). —22nd January last, 'on warrant for deserting his wife and three children, Cyril Powell Finlayson, age thirty, height 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, dark complexion, dark-brown curly hair, hazel eyes, prominent nose, right middle finger amputated at' first joint; usually dressed in a dark-grey or blue suit. He left Hobart by the s.s. '“St, Albans,” and his destination is believed to be New Zealand. (Sec Tasmania Police Gazette, 1921, page 26.) (P. 21/385.)

Perth (Western Australia). —On or about the 10th September, 1919, on three warrants for knowingly and.fraudulently uttering false documents purporting to be Midland Railway Western Australia General A/c. current, Gin Gin Station, and to be signed D. M. Bain, Stationmaster, Harold Dagley Gibbs, age forty-eight, height 5 ft. in., accountant, native of Australia, stout build, dark complexion, black hair turning grey and brushed back, heavy dark eyebrows, grey eyes, small nose, small ears, round face, clean-shaved, freckled arms and neck; usually dressed in a blue-serge heavy suit and black neck-tie; shows bis teeth, which are discoloured; talks slowly'.
