Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). lst instant, on warrant for being absent from the s.s. “ Ayrshire ” without leave, William Dolan, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., native of England, fireman, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, blue eyes. His photograph is filed in the Superintendent’s Office, Auckland, He is also suspected of cargobroaching.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). warrant for being absent from the s.s. “Ayrshire,” Henry Gibson, age nineteen, height about sft. 6 in., fireman, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, tattooed on left forearm. He is also suspected of cargo-broaching. .

Auckland. —l3th Instant, on warrant that he may be compelled to pay £3O 12s. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, Andy Mooney, age twenty-eight, height 6 ft., labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes, scar on right wrist; dressed in a blue suit and a grey-felt hat. His photograph is filed -in the Superintendent’s Office, Auckland.

Auckland. lsth instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Mary Mitchell Turner, 5 Gundry Street, and child, Neil Smith Turner, age forty, height 5 ft. 10 in., engine-driver, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue-grey eyes, dot on left forearm, scar below right eye, small growth on left cheek. Auckland. language, James Kennedy, alias Watson, age about forty-five, height 5 ft. 9 in.,'labourer, medium build, ruddy complexion, grey hair ; usually wears a fawn overcoat, white dirty scarf, and a felt hat. Accused failed to appear at the Stipendiary Magistrate’s Court on the 20th August, 1920, in answer to a summons for using obscene language in Owen’s Road, Devonport. Auckland. 23rd July last, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three days in default of paying £1 3s. fine and costs for drunkenness, Thomas Cox, age fiftythree, height 5 ft. 11^-in., labourer, native of England, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes; nails on middle fingers deformed.

Wellington. —l3th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for one month in default of paying £6 17s. 6d. arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his mother, Clara Elizabeth Ede, Thomas Ede, age thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes.

Wellington. —lsth instant, on warrant for failing to maintain his child, Percival Herbert Coley, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 3 in., carpenter, native of New Zealand, medium build, ruddy complexion, fair wavy hair, blue eyes. Complainant, Myrtle Lillian Coley.

Wellington. —l2th June last, for theft of two grey single blankets, value 16s. 6d., the property of the New Zealand Government (Defence Department), F. J. Williams, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. sJin., miner, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair and complexion, grey eyes. Accused failed to deliver the blankets when returning other articles of his kit. No warrant.

Dunedin.— On or about the 3rd ultimo, on warrant for false pretences, Robert Roberts, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 6 in., butcher and horse-trainer, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair going bald, brown eyes; scar on left upper arm, on right forefinger, and between left forefinger and thumb, on right cheek, and on right shin. Accused obtained £3 from George McGillivary Ross, hotelkeeper, Chatto Creek, by means of a valueless cheque. (See Police Gazette, 1919, page 495, and Photographs, 1918, page'll.)

Dunedin. —Bth instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Evelyn Ellen King, 50 Grange Street, Charles Castle King, alias McDonald, age fifty, height 5 ft. fin., steward and hotel porter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark - brown long hair, brown eyes, dark short moustache, scar on left temple, heart and “ A.H.” on left forearm, ring on left little finger; usually dressed in a dark suit and a soft-felt hat; respectable appearance; suffers from heart-disease. Dunedin. —Bth instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Lillian May Allen, Nile Street, James John Allen, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 6 in., traveller, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair tanned complexion, darkbrown hair, brown eyes, clean-shaved; round-shouldered.
