Auckland. —13th instant, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three days in default of paying £1 12s. 6d. fine and costs for drunkenness, Patrick Sullivan, alias Holland, age forty-three, height 5 ft. in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, thick nose; mole, anchor, and two crosses on left forearm ; emblem of Faith, Hope, and Charity, clasped hands, wreath, and “ A.C.” on right forearm; untidily dressed. Wanganui. —l2th January last, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for three months in default of paying £2l Is. arrears of maintenance due for the support of his wife, Sophia Louisa Marion Tracey, 71 Harrison Street, Charles Henry Edward Tracey, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 7 in., carpenter and mill hand, native of New Zealand, good build, dark complexion, black hair, dark-brown eyes, small scar over left eye, “ C.T.” on left arm ; usually dressed in grey riding-breeches, dark coat and vest, and khaki hat; speaks quickly ; abrupt manner.

Woodville. 2lst ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for seven days in default of paying £2 10s. fine and costs for being found on licensed premises during olosing-hours, Henry Alexander Thorn, age about thirty-seven, height about 6 ft., labourer, native of Australia, strong build, fair hair and complexion, scar on bridge of nose, clean-shaved ; usually dressed in a brown »uit and s®ft-felt brown hat ; stooped.

Levin. — Harold James Bedford, alias Ammond, absconding from an industrial school, was sentenced at Sydney (Australia), on the sth instant, to one month on a charge of theft. He had assumed the name Claude Smith. (See Police Gazette, 1913, pages 51 and 136.)

He is third officer on the s.s. “ Rakanoa,” which is now en route to Newcastle (Australia). Complainant, Gertrude Bowden, domestic.
