INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (New South Wales). — A warrant was issued on the 26th of March last for the arrest of Elwyn Byrne, charged with disobeying a magisterial order for the smport of his illegitimate child, of whom Selina Mary McDermott, Park Road, Mascot, is the mother. Description: Age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 9 in., horse-trainer, thin build, fresh complexion, blue eyes, clean-shaved, sharp features; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and straw hat ; slightly stooped. He may be identical with John Elwyn Byrne, alias Bryne, referred to in Police Gazette, 1919, page 660, and Photographs, page 65. If located, he is not to be arrested, but he is to be induced to pay £57 18s. arrears due on the order. (P. 19/2093.)
