Newton. — 9 th May last, on warrant for using obscene language, James McLaren, age about forty-three, height 5 ft. 8 in., , labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, gr«y hair going bald, grey moustache; dressed in a light-grey suit and felt hat; fond of drink. He failed to appear at Court on the 9th May last in answer to a summons.

Auckland. — February last, on warrant for theft of an overcoat (recovered), value £1 10s., the property of Richard George Speight, 44 Albert Street, James Page (name probably fictitious), age about fifty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., strong build, dark moustache turning grey; dressed in a dark suit and brown soft-felt hat. Accused stole the coat from 44 Albert Street, and pledged it for Bs. at John Oohen’s pawnshop in Victoria Street.

Auckland. 3rd April, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paying £143 arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of Thomas and Abraham Bowden, Thomas Bowden, age sixty-one, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer and stableman, native of Australia, stout build, fair complexion, dark hair turning grey, grey eyes. New Plymouth.—22nd April last, that he may be compelled to pay £43 arrears of maintenance due for the support of his child, Edna M. Learmouth, an inmate of Wellington Receiving Home, William Havelock Green, age about forty-five, height about sf. 9 in., carpenter, native of New Zealand, medium build, ruddy complexion, auburn hair, clean-shaved ; - usually dressed in a brown check suit and soft-felt hat; fond of drink.

Manaia.— 3oth March last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Bridget Margaret John, and two children, William Graham John, age thirty, height 5 ft. 5£ in., labourer, native of Sootland, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes; dressed in a dark suit and brown-felt hat. Sullivan (name probably fictitious), age about fifty, height 5 ft. 1 in., supposed fireman, medium build, ruddy complexion, dark Pair turning grey, grey moustache ; dress' d in blue-dungaree trousers, black coat, and dark cap; dirty appearance. The bicycle was stolen from Cathie’s factory, Marion Street, and sold on the 14th ultimo at Trendle’s auction-mart by a man of the description given.

Christchurch.— Ist April last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of hi-r wife, Beatrice Ellen De Latour, 36 Armagh Street, Edward Lionel De Latour, age forty - two, height 6 ft., engineer, native of New Zealand, slight build, sallow complexion, fair hair turning grey, brown eyes, cleanshaved ; usually dressed in a light-tweed suit; walks with a s*oop. He has been discharged in England from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and if located there his address is desired.

Dunedin. —2oth ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Maty Jane Claik, 89 Maclaggan Street, Walter Clark, age forty-four, height 5 ft. 9 in., cabdriv. native of England, medium build, pale complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved, scar on tongue. His photograph is filed in the Superintendent’s Office, Dunedin.
