Newton. —sth February' last, from AMELIA ROBINSON’S bedroom at 32 Newton Road, a 9 ct. gold broad band ring, set with a dark-blue stone, two cut-marks under setting ; value, £2 15s. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On or about the 23rd ultimo, from off a telescope in the Old University College, Parliament Street, the property of AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, a black-mahogany box 15 in. by 9 in., containing eight brassmounted telescopo lenses, NO3. 40, 75, 120, 150, 200, 300, 500, and 700; an objeot-glass with a lens, similar to a magnifying glass; a diagonal eye-piece about 4 in. long; and a small bottle of mercury : total value, about £l2. Lenses and box only identifiable.

Auckland. —On or about the 3rd February last, from a coat-pocket in Bycroft’s dressing-room, the property of MARK HENRY OOX, 113 Manukau Road, Parnell, a nickel wristlet watch, glass guard broken ; a brown-leather strap; and £i note: total value, £3 10s. Watch only identifiable.

Auckland. —19th February last, from a bedroom at the Thames Hotel, Queen Street, the property of Mrs. W. The theft was committed while firemen werd extinguishing a fire in the hotel.

Auckland —-On or about the Ist October last, from a case in GEE AND BECK’S jeweller’s shop atDevonport, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold keyless hunting lever watch, No. 74977, with “ FAW ”in script monogram on front case; a gentlemen’s 18 ct. gold hunting watch, No. 70625, with a man’s arm engraved on front case, “ Presented to Mr. Fendall ” on inside of back case ; and a gentlemen’s rolledgold watch, No. 12406319, with “Won by L. Kent’’ engraved on inside ease : total value, £l7. Identifiable.

Huntly. sth February last, from a saleroom at Rangiriri, the property of F. G. MATTHEWS, storekeeper, Matangi, a gentlemen’s brown coat, size 4, with a faint dark stripe through it; value, £3. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about fifty, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, aborigina l , strong build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes, heavy moustache.

Hamil t o n.— 6th February last, from the Post Office Money-order Office, the property of NORMAN SUTHERLAND DAVIS, Silverdale, a soldier’s pay-book and discharges, registered No. 18206; and five £1 notes. Identifiable except money.

Clive.— JOHN MUIR’S watch, &c., stolen: It has now been ascertained by the Havelock North police that the suspect, Colin Mackenzie, is identical with Alexander Roscue Chadwick, alias Ross, &c., referred to in Police Gazette , 1913, page 304,. and Photographs, page 36. Masterton. —NlCOLS AND SON’S workshop broken into : It has now been ascertained by the Masterton police that an additional 25-yard roll of dduble-width light-blue serge wa3 stolen from the workshop ; value, £26. Identifiable. (See Police Gazette, 1919, page 207.)

Greytown North. —On or about the Ist instant WALTER ASKIN TATE’S premises at Kuratiwhiti were broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A wooden box, containing a Bonehill 12-bore hammerless double-barrel shot-gun, with “Three Bell Steel,” and “Nitro Proof” on barrels, silver-mounted stock with cock pheasants on it, cleaning-rods, &c. ; a wooden duck-decoy and a nickel duckdecoy; a’3o3 Lee-Enfield service rifle, No. 24464 or 20380, in a canvas cover ; and an American single barrel shot-gun, ejector missing : total value, £46. Identifiable.

Wellington.— Between the 29th January and the 2nd February last, while in transit between Wellington and Dunedin, the property of BING HARRIS AND GO., Limited, Victoria Street, six dozen Paris ties with wide ends ; twenty-four dozen Goodwood ties with wide ends ; two dozen Avenue bow ties; one dozen stud ties; one and a half pieces of No. 5 satin and velvet ribbon ; two dozen ladies’ mercerized silk scarfs; twenty dozen briar pipes; two dozen ladies’ vests, size 8 ; five dozen children’s socks; and two dozen and a half ladies’ hose : total value, £93 4s. sd. Identifiable.

Taranaki Street (Wellington). —2Bth ultimo, from SHURLAND AND CO.’S doorway at 123 Cuba Street, a gentlemen's B.S.A. bicycle, No. 14864, black enamelled with gold lines, upturned handles with black grips, backpedalling brake, Eadie Coaster hub, steel rims, pedals, and mud guards, Governor saddle, Michelin tires ; value, £ll 10s. Identifiable.

Taranaki Street (Wellington). —2sth ultimo, from Taranaki Street Wharf, the property of CHARLES BUSHBY, Lairdet Street, Vogeltown, a gentlemen’s blackenamelled free-wheel Governor bicycle, No. 7890, straight handles with brown-leather grips, back-pedalling brake, steel rims, pedals, and mud-guards, Oceanic tires ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Papanui. —Between the 14th and 19th February last, from RUBY FECK’S bedroom in Tucker Street, a ladies’ gold wristlet watch in a fancy basket-work bangle, with green-and-white stone around outside of dial; a gold ring, set with three rubies and six diamonds ; a gold keeper heart ring, with “8.F.R.K.” in heart; a pair of screw pearl earrings; a string of pearls, about a yard long ; and a gentlemeu’s band ring, set with a ruby : total value, £lO. Identifiable.

Christchurch. HAWORTH’S dwelling at 33 Sherborn Street, a gold ring, set with two diamonds and a ruby in cross-over setting ; and a gold wedding-ring : total value, £L4. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— On or about the 21st ultimo, from the railway - station, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Railway Department), three leather cashbags, each fastened with a padlock, containing £l6B os. 2d. ; a letter containing £4 12s. sd. ; and a first-class railway ticket, No. 612, in favour of “F. Milliken,” for use on Otago Section only. Identifiable except money.

Dunedin.— Between the 26th February last and the 15th ultimo, while on tour in Otago with Professor Barradon’s Theatrical Company, the property of MELVENA MOYLAN,
