Toowoomba (Queensland). —Information is requested as to the whereabouts of Mary Ellen Barnett, who is believed to have taken with her without authority Thomas Handley, an infant. Description: Age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., native of Auckland, New Zealand, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes; smart appearance; wore a black dress, hat, and boots. If any information is obtained regarding this matter, communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (See Queensland Police Gazette, 1919, page 5.)

Melbourne (Victoria). — James Arthur Lambden is charged on warrant with deserting his wife, Lucretia Lambden, at Yalea, near Nathalia, on the 30th ultimo. He is a returned soldier, and holds the rank of captain, and was formerly a school-teacher. He is supposed to be in New Zealand.
