PROPERTY STOLEN.

Otahuhu.— On or about the 26th ultimo, from FRANK DUANE’S washhouse in Church Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled 28in. B.S.A. bicycle, nickel rim*, steel mud-guards, piece missing from flange of back sprocketwheel, thumb-screw for making handles fixtures, new Dunlop tires ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Waihi. —On the 26th ultimo the premises of WALLACE AND CO., grocers, Seddon Street, were broken into, and the safe, which contained £4OO, blown open by gelignite. There was nothing removed from the premises.

Paero a .—ERNEST NICHOLSON DAVIES’S cow (branded B on left rump) has been found dead. The other cow is still missing. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 652.)

Featherston.— Between the 30th ultimo and the 2nd instant ERNEST WILLIAM JOHN SMITH’S jeweller’s shop at Featherston Camp was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: Five 18 ct. gold ladies’ rings, set with three diamonds, cross-over pattern, numbered 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21 respectively in roman figures on inside; an 18 ct. gold ladies’ ring, set with three diamonds, oross-over pattern ; may have “ xxiii ” on the inside ; two 18 ct. gold ladies’ rings, set with two sapphires and one diamond, cross-over pattern; an 18 ct. gold ladies’ ring, set with three pearls and two diamonds, half-hoop pattern ; two 18 ct. gold ladies' rings, set with four small diamonds and three opals, half-hoop pattern ; eight 18 ct. gold ladies’ rings, set with five diamonds, half-hoop pattern; an 18 ct. gold ladies’ ring, set with three diamonds, cross-over pattern ; five 18 ct. gold ladies’ rings, set with sapphires and diamonds, or rubies and diamonds, half-hoop pattern ; and a 9 ot. gold ladies’ pendant, set with seven pearls and two or three aquamarines (one pearl missing), with a fine trace-pattern neckchain attached: total value, £152 2s. fid. Christchurch.— On the Ist instant ALFRED WINTERBOURN’S dwelling at 17 Office Road was broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom : Three silver medals for rowing and a Fire-brigade Medal with “ Winterbourn ” engraved on them ; a ladies’ silver open-face Geneva watch with chased baok; a gold bar brooch, set with a pale-red stone in centre; three electric flat pocket-torches; a blackhandled and white-handled Bengal razor : total value, £7 15s. Christchurch. —4th October last, from Lichfield Street, the property of DAVID WELLESLEY WORSFOLD, 157 Bordesley Street, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled Swift bicycle, No. w ith Run well transfer on it, upturned handles with clack grips, nickel rims, rat-trap pedals, celluloid mud-guard on back wheel, Dunlop tire on front wheel, Michelin tire on back wheel; value, £lO. Christchurch. 27th September last, from the Postoffice bicycle-stand, the property of HENRY LAURENCE STEPHENSON, 324 Stanmore Road, a gentlemen’s blaokenamelled Banfield bicyole, No. 26168, outrigger handles with black grips, nickel rims, rubber pedals, steel mudguards, racing-saddle, Trilith tires ; value, £9 10s.
