Auckland.— 6th April last, that he may be compelled to maintain his son, John William White, an inmate of an industrial school, William White, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., tailor, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair hair and complexion, ginger moustache ; usually dressed in a blue or brown suit; fond of drink.

Accused obtained £5 from Leonard Davidson Paterson, merchant, Victoria Avenue, by means of a valueless cheque drawn upon the Bank of New Zealand, Hamilton.

Wanganui.— 24th ultimo, that she may be compelled to maintain her child, an inmate of Wellington Receiving Home, Annie Fogarty, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft 7 in., domestic, native of England, slight build, fair complexion, auburn hair, sharp features ; good-looking. Palmerston North. —27th ultimo, on warrant for theft of a ladies’ black-and-white-check costume, with two small buttons on each cuff, value £8 Bs. (identifiable), the property of Flora Cody, dressmaker, 28 Princess Street, Mabel Reynolds, alias Raymond, age twenty-one, height about 5 ft. 4 in., domestic, native of New Zealand, slim build, sallow complexion, curly dark hair; dressed in a brown coat with belt and a fur collar. Other charges pending.

Wellington. —l2th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £4 Is., arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Mary Welsh, Alfred Welsh, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. labourer, native of New Zealand, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes. Wellington. —9th May last. Inquiries are to be made for Camille Body, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 7Jin., gardener, native of France, medium build, brown hair turning grey and going bald, brown eyes, white-and-black spot on one side of nose ; active gait.
