Wellington.— On or about the 12th instant, ERNEST GEORGE STAPP’S dwelling at Espin Crescent, Karori, was broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom : Five bronze electric-light fittings; three glass white-and-green electric-light globes; two glass white-and-pink electric-light globes; a small electroplated Queen Ann teapot; an electroplated cake-stand ; a copper spirit-kettle ; a bronze-green mohair hearth-rug; a dark-bronze cane Japanese work-basket with rose-pink-silk lining, handpainted white flowers on it: total value, £lO 11s. Taranaki Street (Wellington). —Between the 30th June last and the 22nd ultimo, from the storeroom at the Grand Opera House, the property of RUBY SMITH, 47 Mulgrave Street, a plain gold thin bangle with “ R.S.” on it, a gold signet ring with “ R.S.” on it, and a pink cameo ring; total value, £3 7s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to John Deans, age twenty, height sft 8 in., good build, reddish complexion, curly brown hair, clean-shaved ; usually dressed in a brownish suit, dark-felt bat, and a dark check overcoat. Suspect was a member of the Dick Whittington Pantomime Company when the articles were stolen.

Westport. —l3th instant, from Palmerston Street, the property of JOHN LENIHAN, Derby Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Marvel bicycle, straight handles with black grips, rim brakes, steel pedals and mud-guards; value, £7. Identifiable.

Christchurch. —3rd June last, from the Provincial Hotel, the property of EDWARD SULLIVAN, 464 Barbadoes Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Rawson and Low bicycle, No. 680, upturned handles (grips and mud-guards missing), nickel rims, rat-trap pedals, racing-saddle; value, £6. Identifiable.
