Probation Officers appointed. LIVERPOOL, Governor-General. WHEREAS by the First Offenders’ Probation Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time appoint such police officers or other persons as he thinks fit to be Probation Officers under the said Act, and may assign to any sucli officer or other person a district wherein he may exercise his functions : Now, therefore, I, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the First Offenders’ Probation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf enabling me, do hereby appoint the officers and other persons mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Probation Officers under the said Act, and do hereby assign to such officers and other persons respectively the parts of the Dominion mentioned in the second column of the said Schedule, and set opposite to their respective names therein, as districts wherein to exercise their functions as such Probation Officers respectively.
