PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. —2Bth ultimo, from a bedroom at the Central Hotel, the property of LOUISA CARR, barmaid, a grey quill necklet, about 6 ft. long ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Auckland. —Between the Ist March last and Ist ultimo, from a bedroom at the Central Hotel, the property of MONA DODDS, barmaid, a ladies’ black-silk umbrella, with curved handle ; a ladies’ black-silk umbrella, with a straight handle with a silver knob on it; and a silk cream scarf with navy-blue and blaok border and fringe : total value, £3. Identifiable.

Auckland. —26th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Central Hotel, the property of LILY MORTON, barmaid, a ladies’ nigger-brown overcoat, with slate-coloured fur collar, patch pookets, with buttons and straps on them; value, £5 16s. Identifiable.

Auckland.—26th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Central Hotel, the property of NORAH McDONALD, barmaid, a garbardine pleated skirt; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. —2nd April last, from Custom Street, the property of WILLIAM PERKINSON, Monmouth Street, Arch Hill, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled B.S.A. bicycle, No. 2995, registered No. 12266, reversible ha dies, with black grip on right side, tape on the other, portion of mud guard on back wheel, carrier attached; value, £5. Identifiable.

Gisborne. —2nd ultimo, from Derby Street, the property of SYBIL LYSNAR, 12 Norman Road, a ladies’ black-en-amelled free-wheel bicycle, No. 312, back-pedalling and front-rim brakes, large bell on left handle, black dress-guard, new front mud-guard ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Hawera.— lst instant, from outside the Winter Show buildings, the property of NEWTON KING, merchant, Stratford, a black-enamelled Dodge motor-car, five-seater, engine No. 242223, chassis No. 191340 on aluminium plate on the footboard in front of left front seat, “ Newton King, S.D. 75, Agent,” on back number-plate; value, £425. Identifiable.

Napier. —26th ultimo, from a motor-car in Edward Street, the property of PERCY SAMUEL HELLIER, a large Pesone rug, yellow and brown on one side and grey-and-brown check on the other ; value, £3. Identifiable.

Hastings. —22nd ultimo, from Karamu Road, the property of LAWRENCE ANDERSON, 403 Victoria Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled, free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, No. 584, with “ S ” on head, wide handles with black grips, rat-trap pedals, brake on back wheel, large Brooks saddle; value, £B. Identifiable.

Masterton. —Between the 24th and 27th ultimo, from a shed in Queen Street, the property of THOMAS McCRACKEN, cabinetmaker, a two-point Bosh magneto, collar with two lugs on it missing ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Masterton. —Between the 4th and 18th ultimo, from a veranda in Sussex Street, the property of ALFRED CASTLEBERG, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled three-gear free-wheel Beanco bicycle, maker Batindale, Manchester, England, black grip on right handle, front- and back-wheel brakes, celluloid mud-guards, Globular bell attached ; value, £l4. Identifiable.

Carterton. —lßth May last, from outside the RailwayBtation, the property of ALFRED JAMES BARTLETT, Waingawa Freezing-works, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Royal Star bicycle, No. 65450, 24 in. frame, reversible handles with black grips, rat-trap pedals, backpedalling brake, mud-guards attached; value, £l2 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington,— l7th May last, from Ngahauranga Rail-way-station, the property of THOMAS CARTER, 13 Pipitea Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Corona 24 in. bicycle, No. 1092, inturned handles, rat-trap pedals, celluloid mudguards, “Transfer” on each ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Wellington. —24th instant. The following articles were stolen from the mail-room on the s.s. “Remuera,” which arrived at Auckland from England on the 10th instant, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Post and Telegraph Department): Ninety-six gentlemen’s nickel crystal watches, sizes 19, screw backs and fronts, white dials with seconds-hands, stamped “ Rolex ” on movements, some fifteen-jewelled and some seven-jewelled, some nickel movements, and some gilt - finished movements, firms stock numbers on boxes containing the watches, “ JJOB3O, J JOBOI, F. 14.”—some of the numbers are believed to be 1897216, 1897217, 1897218, 1897223, and some of them may bear a number starting 18972 with another two figures at end

below 15 or above 24; six gentlemen’s nickel crystal watches, size 19, hinged case, five-jewelled, nickel-finished movements, white dials with seconds-hands, stamped “ Rolex ” on movements, firms stock number on box JJ0831; eightyfour gentlemen’s nickel Sonia lever watches, size 19, jewelled, plain white dials, seconds-hands, believed to have “Sonia” on movements; a gentlemen’s silver open-face lever chronograph watch, size 19, No. 66020 ; a ladies’ silver lever wristlet watch, size 11, No. 3446 ; a ladies’ silver nurse centre seconds wristlet watch, size 11, No. 702045; and a ladies’ open-face wristlet watch, size 11, No. 100050 : total value, £125. Identifiable. The watches were pillaged from insured parcels addressed “ F. Sladen, jeweller, Christchurch,” and “Care of National Bank, Christchurch.” This is inserted in lieu of the notice appearing on page 328 of this Gazette , where the descriptions given are incomplete.

Granity. —lsth ultimo, from ROBERT SWAN’S veranda, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel B.S.A. bicycle, left grip broken, rat-trap pedals ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Greymouth. —7th ultimo, from Alexander Street, the property of SARAH DOOGAN, a ladies’ black-enamelled Raleigh bicycle, No. 125040, coil-spring frame, straight handles, rubber pedals, front rim rusty and split, mudguard affixed with patent clip ; value, £7. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— llth Mav last, from the Public Library, the property of MARY MENZIES, a ladies’ Pierce bicycle, No. 991, curved handles with black celluloid grips, portion of right grip missing, front-rim brake, rubber pedals, back mud guard slightly bent, steel rims, Challenger tires ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Christchurch. SYDNEY RONALD HOOD’S motorbioycle stolen : A reward of £lO is offered by complainant for the arrest and conviction of the offender. (See Police Gazette, 1918, pages 285 and 315.)

Gladstone. —22nd May last, from outside the Church Hail, the property of LESLIE PRICE, Waikiwi, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled B.S.A. bicycle, upturned handles with leather grips, rat-trap pedals (right one broken), broken celluloid mud-guards, Barnett Glass tire on front wheel, Dunlop tire on back wheel, candle-lamp attached ; value, £3.
