APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Thames. — John Gallagher, alias “ Hobart Town Jack,” default of fine and costs: Warrant executed by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 165.)

Hamilton. Darcy Palmer, failing to parade for medical examination: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 448.)

Patea.— Roderick Elder, deserting from Expeditionary Force : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 149.)

Dannevirke.— -George Noah Bashford, failing to parade for medical examination, has been arrested by the Palmerston North and Foxton police. He is identical with Richard George Parker, alias George Funnell, &c., referred to in following paragraphs. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 560.)

Featherston.— Richard George Parker, deserting from Expeditionary Force, has been arrested by the Palmerston North and Foxton police. He is identical with George Noah Bashford, alias George Funnell, &c., referred to in preceding and following paragraphs. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 727, and 1918, page 196.)

Wanganui.— George Funnell, alias Parker, alias Herbert Bartlett, escaping from prison, has been arrested by the Palmerston North and Foxton police. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 177 and preceding paragraphs.)

Masterton.— John Roche, deserting from Expeditionary Force, has been arrested by the Tinui police. (See Police Gazette 1918, page 207.)

Featherston.— Thomas Clark, alias Brown, default of maintenance, has been located by the Methven police. (See Police Gazette, 1911, page 538, and following paragraph.)

Christchurch. — Thomas Clark, alias Brown, default of maintenance has been located by the Methven police. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 786, and preceding paragraph.)

Upper Hutt. — Thomas Bell, deserting from Expeditionary Force, has been arrested by the Wellington police. He had assumed the name John Elwyn Byrne. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 326.)

Petone. — Samuel Campbell, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount due to the Petone police. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 177.)

Wellington. — John James Kealey, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 132.)

Wellington.— John Gaines, failing to comply with the terms of his release upon probation : No further action to be taken. (See Police Gazette, 1918, page 194.)

Mount Cook (Wellington).— James Alfred Steere, missing, has returned to his home, (See Police Gazette, 1918, pages 111 and 167.)

Kaikoura.— William Toomey, failing to parade for medical examination, has been arrested by the Carterton police. His correct name is William John Twomey. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 713.)

Sydenham.— Samuel Sandford, failing to maintain, has been arrested bv the Sydenham police. (See Police Gazette, 1918, pages 3 and 178.)

Temuka. Matthew Coffey, failing to proceed to camp, has been arrested by the Military police. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 228.)

Timaru. — Dennis Coffey, failing to proceed to camp, has been arrested by the Military police. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 251.)

Waimate. — Edward Kennedy, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount due to the Ashburton police. He had assumed the name Roland. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 218.)

Dunedin. — William Aitken, alias Fraser, theft, has been arrested by the Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 698.)

Gore.— Lawrence Cody, failing to proceed to camp, has been arrested by the Patutahi police. He had assumed the name Hansen. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 192.)
