Newton.—4th May last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Walter Edward Marsh, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., waterside worker.

Auckland, for failing to parade for medical examination, Joseph Butler, age twenty-three, height 5 ft. in., hotel porter, native of Ireland.

Waihi.—2oth ultimo, on military warrant for desertmg from the Expeditionary Fore-, Thomas James Casley, age twent'-eight, height 5 ft. 10 in., mimr, native of New Zealand, medium build, brown hair, blue eyes, clean shaved ; usually dressed in a blue suit and light-felt hat.

Te Aroha.—2sth October last, nn military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Francis Goddard, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in., farm lab >urer and tailor, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, clean-shaved, sham features; usually dressed in a dark suit, brown cap, or soft-felt hat; erect gait; smart appearance ; wears glasses.

Te Aroha.-25th October last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Walter Flynn, age twenty six. height 5 ft. 10 in., farmer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, clean-shaved, full face ; usually dressed in a brown suit and cap or soft-felt hat; quiet disposition. He is an athlete, and competes in running and jumping events.

Huntly.—2oth ultimo, on military warrant for deserting from camp, Reginald Holm Fowler, age twentysix, height 5 ft. sin., flax-mill hand, native of England, medium build, dark complexion and hair, blue eves, woman holding flag on right forearm, birth-mark on left shin ; aotive gait.

Karangahake.—lsth ultimo, on military warrant for failing to proceed to camp, Frank Neves, age thirtytwo, height 5 ft. 8 in., miner, stout build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes, clean-shaved; usually dressed in a brown suit, and straw hat (worn on one side).

Hamilton. —25th October last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Thomas Trow, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 5 in,, engineer’s labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark hair and complexion, blue eyes ; slovenly appearance.

Motu. —Bth ultimo, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Tom Gallagher, age twenty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of Ireland, slight build, fresh complexion, fair hair; dressed in a dark suit and light-grey-felt hat. He is now in America.

Gisborne. —7th March, 1916, on military warrant for deserting from the 14th Reinforcement, John Garlsson, age thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 6£in., contractor, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, angel on right forearm, anchor and “ 1.K.K.” on left forearm. Tokaanu.—2sth October last, on military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, David Rees, age forty-one, height 5 ft. 6 in., flax-cutter, native of Wales, dark hair and heavy dark moustache ; usually dressed in a brown suit, soft-felt hat, and tan boots ; walks with a limp ; speaks quietly.

Wellington.— Thomas Cooke, deserting from Expeditionary Force : It has been ascertained by the Christchurch police that he is twenty-one years of age, and that he probably deserted from Featherston Camp, (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 672.)

He left this Dominion on 29th September, 1916, as cook on s.s. “ Pakeha.”

Taranaki Street (Wellington). military warrant for failing to parade for medical examination, Fred Whalley, alias Whally, age twentyone, greaser, native of Australia. He deserted from s.s. “ Manuka ” at Sydney in October, 1916.
