Auckland. —l2th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his illegitimate child, Alfred Mounsey Little, alias Fred Little, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 3 in., labourer and drover, native of New Zealand, strong build, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, large brown eyes, small scar on left cheek. Complainant, Isabel New, domestic, Rodney Road, Northcote.

Auckland. —l2th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, George Vaughan Myers, age about fifty-two, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, brown eyes; fond of reoiting when under the influence of liquor. Auckland. —15th October last, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address may be instituted against him, Morar Khusl, age twenty-four, kitchenman, native of India.

Te Awamutu. —22nd September last, that a summons for supplying liquor to Natives for consumption off licensed premises may be served upoo him, Antonio Simon, alias Esefoff Simon, age thirty-seven, height about 5 ft. 2 in., hotel porter and show-man, native of Syria, slight build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, dark moustache, small pinched features, square shoulders; usually dressed in a dark-brown suit and black soft or brown hat; follows up agricultural shows with “Hoop-la” and other games; Hindu appearance. He is an alien under the provisions of the Registration of Aliens Act, 1917. There are other charges pending.

Mabton. —4th October last, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address may be instituted against him, Duncan Mclntyre, age thirty-six, farm labourer.

Wanganui. —6th October last, on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Prison for seven days in default of paying 13s. balance of fine and costs for drunkenness, Thomas Smyth, age fifty, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, native of Ireland, medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a navy-blue suit and black hard hat.

Ongaonga. —lsth August last, on warrant for false pretences, Martin (name probably fictitious), age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build, dark hair and oomplexion, brown eyes, clean-shaved ; dressed in a dark grey-tweed suit, grey-tweed overcoat with long fawn waterproof cycling-cape, and grey-felt hat. Accused obtained £1 from Mary Campbell, Ashcott, Takapau, by falsely representing that he had lost a pocketbook containing his bank-draft, and that he was getting another bankdraft payable at Waipukurau. It has been ascertained by the Hastings police that he is probably indentical with Wilfred Martin, referred to in Police Gazette , 1917, page 502, and with W. Coxhead, referred to in Police Gazette , 1917, page 641. He has not been arrested as stated in Police Gazette , 1917, page 612. (See Police Gaeette, 1917, page 502.)

Lower Hutt. —sth September last, that a notice of fine and costs for £2 10s. 6d. for a breach of the by-laws may be served upon him, John Barker, age about nineteen, height about 5 ft. 6 in., motor-driver, strong build, fresh complexion, ourly dark hair; usually dressed in ridingbreeches and black leggings and a motor-cap.

Wellington. —27th ultimo, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address may be instituted against him, George Bevins, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 10in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark hair and complexion.

Wellington. William Nicholas March, theft: It has been ascertained by the Upper Hutt police .that offender left this Dominion on 22nd ultimo with the reinforcements. He had assumed the name William Norton. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 238.)

Lyttelton. —2sth ultimo, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Port Pirie,” E. Fowler, age about seventeen, height 5 ft. 10 in., apprentice, native of England, slight build, fair hair and complexion; usually dressed in a grey suit and green-felt hat.

Lyttelton. —2sth ultimo, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Port Pirie,” J. Pratt, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 6 in., apprentice, native of England, good build, fair hair and complexion ; usually dressed in a grey suit and grey-felt hat.

Akaroa. —2lst September last, that a notice of fine for £1 14s. for a breach of his prohibition order may be served upon him, Malcolm McKinley, age fifty-six, height 5 ft. BJin., labourer, native of Scotland, fresh complexion, fair hair, light-blue eyes ; fond of drink ; dirty appearance. (See Police Gazette, 1915, page 372.)

Dunedin. —2lst ultimo, on warrant for theft of a bicycle (recovered), value £lO, the property of James Pedofski, 88 Hanover Street, William Aitken, alias Fraser, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer and carter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue-grey eyes, scar on left temple ; usually dressed in a brown suit and light soft hat, and wears a ring, originally set with three stones (now missing), on one right finger. He may be accompanied by his wife Ruby Lilly Aitken, n6e Goss, referred to in Police Gazette, 1915, page 569. There is another charge pending.
