Accused forged railway consignmentnotes, and retained sums of money which had been paid to him for railage on goods.

Westport. -25th ultimo, on warrant for failing to make adequate provision for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Patrick McDade, alias Kennedy, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 9 in., gold-miner,

native of Australia, medium build, dark complexion, hair, and eyes. He holds his head to left side when walking ; usually dressed in a dark suit and black hard-felt hat. Complainant, Esther Mary Finnerty.

Greymouth.— 2lst June last, on warrant of commitment to Greymoubh Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 7s. 6d. fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, Alfred Kirk, age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and seaman, native of England, strong build, sallow complexion, fair hair, blue eyes, clean-shaved, burnscar on back of neck; usually dressed in a grey suit and cap; limps slightly. Timaru. —3rd instant, that two notices of fines for £1 7s. and 17s. respectively for breaches of the Licensing Act may be served upon him, Edward Dennis Galligan, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, dark hair, blue eyes, scar on forehead and on left side of face ; dressed in a dirty grey suit, and grev slouch bat; slovenly appearance.
