PERSONS WANTED.

Te Kuiti.— 13th instant, that proceedings for failing to enrol in accordance with the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916, may be instituted against him, Francis Joseph Murray, alias F. J. O’Connell, age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 6 in., labourer and miner, strong build, fresh complexion, dark hair turning grey, blue eyes, clean-shaved, full face, large head; usually dressed in dark clothes ; fond of drink.

Hastings. —loth instant, on warrant of commitment to Napier Prison for two months in default of paying £lO 3s. fine and costs for a breach of the Motor Regulations Act, 1908, Albert Andrews, age nineteen, height 5 ft. 9in., canvasser, native of New Zealand, slight build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, email features; usually dressed in a grey suit, tweed overcoat, lined with dark and

grey far, and dark soft-felt hat, and wears a gold band ring; nervous manner. He may have a small green suit oase and brief bag with him. He is identical with Albert S. Andrews, referred to in Police Gazette, 1917, pages 502 and 503.)

Wanganui. false pretences, Martin Petersen, age thirty, height 6 ft., painter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, stooped shoulders ; dressed in a navy-blue suit and dark-felt hat. Accused obtained £5 from Lazarus Wolfe Balkind, money-lender, by falsely representing that a Red Indian motor-bicyole was his unencumbered property.

Wellington. —llth instant, that he may be compelled to maintain his two brothers, inmates of St. Mary’s Industrial School, Auckland, James O’Connor, age twentytwo, height 5 ft. 9 in., seaman, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes, impediment in speech. Arrears to 23rd July last, £5 16s.

Wellington. —lsth ultimo, on warrant for deserting from the s.s. “ Orari,” George Outram, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. in., seaman, native of England, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; deaf.

Wellington.— l6th instant, that a summons may be served upon her for the purpose of having her maintenance order varied, Annie Elizabeth Burn, age about thirtythree, height 4 ft. 10 in., native of New Zealand, strong build, brown hair and eyes, pug nose; untidy appearance. Wellington. —22nd ultimo, that a summons may be served upon him for disobeying a maintenance order for the support of his four children, Frederick Blacklidge, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 9Jin., labourer, native of England, medium build, dark complexion, ourly dark hair, brown eyes, profusely tattooed on body. Westport. —l2th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Alice Julia Crooks, Romilly Street,

James Archer Crooks, age forty-eight, height 6 ft-., labourer and miner, native of Ireland, medium build, fair complexion, curly fair hair, blue eyes, heavy ginger moustache, birth-mark resembling a bunch of grapes on one forearm; usually dressed in dark clothes; smart appearance. Arrears to 30th July last, £216 2s.

Dunedin.—2lst July last, on warrant of commitment to Dunedin Police Gaol for forty-eight hours in default of paying 13s. fine and costs for drunkenness, Thomas Farrell, age forty-nine, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of Australia, medium build, fair complexion, sandy hair, blue eyes, scar on left eyebrow, temple, wri-t, and hand, and on top of head and on chin.
