Auckland. — 25th ultimo, on warrant for keeping a house of ill fame in Hobson Street (breach of War Regulations), Louisa Dupont, alias Lucy Dupont, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 7 in., prostitute, native of Belgium, good build, fresh complexion, golden (probably dyed) hair, large blue eyes; usually well dressed ; erect gait; speaks good English.

Auckland. —13th instant, on warrant for failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Robert Bailey, age about thirty-two, height about 5 ft. 10 m., painter, native of New Zealand, good build, dark complexion, dark brown hair and eyes; abrupt manner. Complainant, Florence Elsie Fitzwilliams, 45 Bond Street, Arch Hill.

Auckland. —2sth ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife and two children, James Taylor Agnew, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 6 in., motor and horse driver, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion, curly black hair, large grey eyes. Complainant, Maggie Evelyn Agnew, 16 Richmond Avenue, Grey Lynn.

Napier.— Bth instant, on warrant for forgery, A. G. Wilson (name probably fictitious), age about forty, height 5 ft. 11 in., supposed drover, supposed native of New Zealand, good build, fresh complexion, thin brown hair, clean-shaved; dressed in riding-breeches and leggings, grey coat and vest, grey soft bat with black band, and fawn overcoat ; talkative. He said he was a buyer for the Gear Meat Company. Accused forged the name of “F. Donovan ”to a receipt for £27 3s. Bd. which amount he received from the New Zealand Trawling and Fish-supply Company (Limited) by falsely representing that he was “Donovan,” a farmer of Kopuranga, and had called for settlement of an account for rabbits which he supplied to the company. He may be identical with DaYid Carter, referred to in Police Gazette, 1917, page 338.

Taihape. —l2th February last, on warrant for false pretences, Terewhenua (uame probably fictitious), age about twenty-six, height sft. 10in., strong build, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes; dressed in khaki ridingbreeches and light-brown coat; stutters ; a half-casfe Maori. Accused obtained a pair of riding-breeches and a coat from William Patrick Dowling, tailor, by falsely representing that he was Joe Whenuaroa’s brother, by whom he was being left a lot of money.

Carterton.—Bth instant, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for seven days in default of paying £2 10s. fine and costs for playing “ two-up,” Robert McGregor, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. in., labourer and ex-jockey, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, faint scroll on right forearm ; fond of drink.

Greytown North. —9th instant, that proceeding for failing to notify his change of address in accordance with the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916, may be instituted against him, Richard Caston Stevens, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 4 in., farm labourer, native of New Zealand.

Featherston. —27th April last, that proceedings for failing to notify his change of address in accordance with the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916, may be instituted against him, Arthur Stevens, age twenty-two, height sft. 4in., bricklayer, native of New Zealand; weight 10 stone.

Wellington. —3rd ultimo, on warrant ,of commitment to Wellington Prison for three days in default of paying £1 fine and costs for a breach of his prohibition order, Thomas O’Brien, age thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 11 in., sculleryman, native of Australia, medium build, pale complexion, dark hair, blue eyes. Wellington. —l3th instant, that she may be compelled to maintain Marjory G. Bruneil, an inmate of St. Joseph’s Industrial School, Upper Hutt, Hilda Bruneil, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 4 in., domestic, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes, prominent artificial upper teeth. Arrears to 25th April last, £l2 9s. Inquiry by the Education Department.

Blenheim. —27th March last,- that a minute of order for maintenance of his wife, Elsie May Plarding, may be served upon him, John Harding, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 9 in., motor-driver and coach-painter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a brown or navy-blue suit and soft-felt hat; bowlegged.

Ghristchurch. —9th instant, on warrant for false pretences, Benjamin Bronkhurst, alias Bronkhorat, age thirty-nine, height sft. 6in., traveller and agent, native of England, medium build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a blue or dark-grey suit and black hard hat; fond of drink. Accused obtained three gold rings, value £27 10s., from Andrew Ernest Young by falsely representing that he had been authorized by a man from the Bays, who was getting married, to purchase the ring, and also that he (the accused) had placed with Strange and Go. (Limited) an order for the man’s furniture. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 212.)

Christchurch. —2oth April last, that a notice of fine for £5 12s. for permitting gorse to spread on his land at Yaldhurst may be served upon him, William Percy Capes, aged thirty-one, height 5 ft. Bin., labourer, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, long thin nose. He owns a racehorse, “Jack Ashore,” and frequents race meetings. He is identical with Percy Capes, referred to in Police Gazette, 1916, page 852.

Christchurch. —28th April last, that a notioe of fine for 10s. for oasting offensive matter in a public place may be served upon him, George Reburn, age fifty, height 5 ft. 9 in., farmer, native of Scotland, medium build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes ; usually dressed in a brown suit and grey cap; stooped. He was fined £l, but has paid 10s.

Christchurch. —l7th April last, that she may be compelled to support her child, an inmate of Ghristchurch Receiving Home, Margaret McKeown, age twenty-three, height 5 ft. 2 in., domestic, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, brown eyes; usually dressed in a grey costume ; slovenly appearance.

Gore,— Henry Frederick Elliott, failing to maintain : It has been ascertained by the Gore police that accused, accompanied by Mary Cleaver and a boy, travelled as Mr. and Mrs. Tiley on the 11th ultimo by steamer from Lyttelton to Wellington.
